“Christmas = The Nutcracker”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

I had a great evening at the Nutcracker despite the little girl next to me kicking me constantly. The performance was great. The audience clearly makes the Nutcracker part of their annual Christmas celebrations, as you could see a lot of large family groups. The dancers were professional (even the children) the costumes and sets were just right to focus the audience's attention on the dancing.

“Nutcracker Magic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

We have enjoyed many trips to see the Nutcracker and this year the Colorado Ballet did not disappoint. The look of awe on my daughter's (8 yrs) is always my favorite part of the evening. The costumes, set design, choreography, and orchestra were all fabulous. The addition of a chorus was so special. We cannot imagine a holiday season without the Colorado Ballet!

“Nice introduction to ballet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

The Colorado ballet offers family-friendly, affordable performances, including stody ballets like Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty. The choreography and technical difficulty are average, but overall they are enjoyable shows. The captioning available at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House makes the storyline much easier to follow.

“Nutcracker”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Final night of the Nutcracker Christmas 2012 (Christmas Eve) was really impressive. We saw a lesser version in early December and it made us want to go back to Denver. The dancing of course, the sets, the venue, the snow--and Christmas Eve--it's enough to make you want to have more kids, just to bring them.

“Best Professional Dance between the East & West Coasts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Denver is SO fortunate to have this quality of dance in our town. The dancers and the creative director, Gil Boggs, are on a par with what you will find on either coast. I only wish more people were aware of this hidden gem
