“Great choice in Denver”
Reviewed July 16, 2011

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Denver and we think, that it is a great hotel. The lobby is nice, service is great, there is free internet access, and the room is big enough with enough towels and most of all it was very clean. We liked the hot breakfast with sausage patties, eggs and French Toast, there were cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruits and lots more. The indoor pool and spa were nice, there was a flat screen TV with 80 programms, fridge was big enough and parking is across the street for $ 10,- for 24 hours. We could easily walk to the capitol area and the 16th Mall, Safeway was only a minute away. We recommand this hotel and would definitely stay again!

I've stayed in Hampton Inns across the country for business and pleasure and have always been pleased with the location, cleanliness, condition, and service--until this time. This property is so nestled away that it is virtually impossible find from any direction unless you have a GPS even though it is a only couple of tough (as in rough) blocks from the downtown 16th St mall. My room was marginally clean and stocked with a minimalist touch, including one set of towels only. The room, like the entire hotel, needs refurbishing badly. Everything from linens to carpets to fixtures have had a long hard life, and it smells like it. The television is flat panel HD with lots of movie options but the hotel is too cheap to provide HD cable service. The fitness center, which is important to me, is bare bones and most of the equipment does not function properly--a major pet peeve of mine! The service was uneven--great desk clerk, but the maid barged in on me half dressed even though I had a "Do Not Disturb" tag on the door. The complimentary breakfast was passable, but that is so cookie cutter that it would be hard to screw up. I would stay here again only if it was the only option available,, which was the case this time. Hopefully this property is on line for a face lift.

Room Tip: If you stay here, make sure that you don't get placed on one of the meeting room floors--such ad...

Stayed here with a group of friends this past weekend for a night. The location is great - walking distance to 16th street and also the capital area. Plenty of street parking over the weekend. The staff was friendly. The rooms [we had two rooms with two queens] were pretty spacious. Loved the full breakfast [complimentary] and the selection was great. There is no restaurant but they use something like seamless web for room service. Parking on site is street parking or valet. We were able to find a street spot relatively easily.

This is a well maintained hotel in a transitioning type zone a couple of blocks away from other major hotels and restaurants. Nevertheless it was convenient for us and an easy 10 minute walk to the convention center. The rooms are comfortable and include refrigerator and microwaves with free internet access. The breakfast is varied and abundant. There is also fresh fruit available during the day. The only downside is that there is no convenient restaurant or room service, although there are many options in the 16th street walking district. We enjoyed the swimming pool which is OK for short lap swimming (about 35 ft).

Room Tip: We used a special offer directly from hampton inn.

Stayed here one Sunday night in June. Room was an average Hampton Inn - king bed, desk, chair, decent size bathroom with shelf underneath for toiletries, good water pressure. Free wi-fi & breakfast. Disappointed in the breakfast - they had no meat whatsoever on the menu. But great banana nut muffins. Staff was pleasant. Biggest complaint was that the walls were very thin. The couple next door came in late and they woke us up - it sounded like they were talking right in our room. Other than that, a pleasant stay. They had valet parking for $20/night but since it was a weekend we just parked on the street for free.

I've stayed in numerous Hampton Inns but this one had the smallest rooms I've seen. I prefer a firm bed but this was very soft. Otherwise it's fine. The staff was great and very helpful (including great parking suggestions).

The hotel stay was perfect. Clean room and very updated decor. Would definitely recommend it to others and would stay here again. Pool was nice and had extended hours compared to most pools. Hot tub was very warm, and I guess the only criticism would be the jets were a little out of control. But overall, not a big deal. Beds were comfy and room and common areas were very very clean.
