One of my better stays! Great hotel, clean, outstanding friendly staff from the moment you walk through the front door, till the time you leave. The bar and club rooms have great views. Rooms little smaller than some locations, but not bad for a "city" hotel. Location was within walking distance of a great city downtown area with lots of restaurant and bar locations. Felt very safe in the city as well. Convention staff did a supurb job as well. I didn't get to use the sauna, but did visit the gym which was quite substantial. A definate recommend.

Had three rooms over the holiday season with grandparents, sister and her teenage children.

Newer hotel in the heart of downtown Denver, next to the convention center and within walking distance to the 16th Street Mall.

Spacious rooms and very clean. Rooms have views of downtown skyline or the front range of the Rockies.

Teenagers and grandparents enjoyed using the swimming pool and the large outdoor jacuzzi with views of the mountains and downtown buildings. Pool area and exercise room were better equipped than many small healthclubs would be. Very modern and spotless facility.

Don't miss the Peaks Lounge located on one of the top floors of the hotel. Breathtaking view of the mountains and beautiful downtown Denver. Fun staff and strong drinks helped make it a nice place for the adults in our party to wind down at the end of the day.

Because of how the building is constructed, you need to take different sets of elevators to reach certain parts of the hotel. Some guest rooms are in a separate tower. Not a big hassle because the elevators were super fast and had cool video projections in them with various scenes of Colorado, including a herd of cattle mooing!

Walked to 16th Street Mall a couple blocks away from hotel for nephew's birthday dinner celebration at Rock Bottom Brewery. Denver has free shuttle buses running up and down the pedestrian mall so it is easy to get around downtown.

Also had a fun family lunch across the street from the hotel at Bubba Gumps.

This was one of the best experiences I have had at a hotel. From the moment I checked in, the staff was very friendly and helpful, which was a good thing since we spent a good amount of time in this hotel. We came to the Denver Hyatt Regency for a conference that we helped put on that was followed up by an all staff business meeting, and we stayed a total of 9 days and 8 nights at this hotel. My wife and I traveled with our two boys (2 years and 7 months in age), since we are both staff and needed to attend. Since we were traveling as a family, we opted for the Aspen Suite upgrade, and we are SO glad we did! Having two rooms was such a blessing for our stay. It allowed us to have somewhere to go when the boys went to bed. It even allowed for the grandparents to come up and stay a night while helping watch the kids, since they have a pull-down Murphy bed in the living portion of the suite - it is only a double bed I believe, but it worked great!

Again, the hotel staff were all very helpful for both when we were requesting things from our room or working with the hotel staff for the conference. One night, since we picked up some ice cream to enjoy during a late night team meeting, we didn't have a spoon or ice cream scooper... so we called the front desk and they had someone bring up a big spoon from the restaurant (no charge) for us to use. There were many other requests that they satisfied on our stay, this is just one example.

The room itself was quite comfortable and very roomy. The bed and bedding was one of the most comfortable I have experienced in a hotel before, some might think it is too soft, but it was just right for me and my wife. The living space was very convenient. Not only were we able to use this space after our kids went to bed at their normal early time, but we were able to have fellow staff up to hang out in our rooms, had a couple of team meetings around the nice sized dining table, and when the kids were awake they really enjoyed playing around the large room with plenty of floor space for them and their toys. The Kitchenette was handy, although this is the only disappointment we really had in the room. With how large the kitchenette was, it had a nearly full-size refrigerator and a small wet-bar style sink, but it did not have any sort of heating element (microwave, etc.) or any cabinetry or kitchenware (plates, silverware, etc.). That was quite disappointing for such a nice sized kitchenette - but I guess that is why it was a kitchenette and not a kitchen. Just be forewarned, if you get this suite expecting to be set up as far as the kitchenette is concerned, know that you only have a nice fridge to keep things cool, nothing much else. Fortunately, although inconvenient, they did have a microwave in the coffee/snack shop down in the lobby that was open for guests to use. So when we needed to heat up various left-overs or milk for our baby, we "just" had to run down to the lobby. Otherwise, the couch was comfortable, as well as the other to sitting area chairs. The dining table, as I mentioned before, was nice and large with plenty of seating to allow us to have a couple of team meetings, or just hang out around playing games, eating, etc. They had flat panel LCD TV's in both the bedroom and living room (same size TV in both rooms) that had the standard limited hotel cable offerings, which worked ok. We wished they had more children viewing options, since it was very limited unless you wanted to pay the exorbitant prices to rent a movie or kids show. Another disappointment with the TV's, was that even though we could plug in our laptop or any other output device into the many inputs on the back of the TV, they locked the TV so that you cannot change the input signal the TV uses. This meant that the many DVD's we brought to allow our kids to have some viewing options, they had to just watch on the laptop and not on the nice TV's. Although, another positive for the staff, when we called the front desk to ask if they could help us switch the input, they said they unfortunately could not, but that they would comp us a couple of the pay-per-view movie options - which was nice.

The location of this hotel was great. If you were needing a place to stay to attend an event at the Colorado Convention Center, this is literally right next door. The hotel was also one short block away from the 16th Street mall, which has plenty of dining and shopping options that we used on our stay. 16th Street is especially convenient because it has a free Mall Ride bus that you can ride from one end to the other in order to get to any of the many dining and shopping locations along the mall. One night, we even had a fun night at the Pepsi Center for a Colorado Avalanche game, getting there was easy enough riding the free Mall Ride to the end at Market Street, then walked the hand full of blocks to the Pepsi Center - this options might not be for everyone due to the 5 or so block walk, but worked fine for us and those we went with.

Since we were there over New Years, we saw many people come to the hotel for New Years to enjoy the parties going on in the hotel and in surrounding areas. We were even able to watch both fireworks shows put on at the 16th Street mall from our hotel room, with a perfect view without having to go out in the cold - since our hotel faced directly towards the fireworks that were shot off the top of a building a couple blocks away. And a sign of how hip the hotel is again, the San Diego Chargers stayed in the hotel the night before playing the Denver Broncos the weekend in the middle of our stay.

I paid for the wi-fi internet, which is based on the T-Mobile Hotspot Wi-Fi system, it worked fine - but since I used that at about $10 per day, I am not sure if the wired internet was free or not.

Although I did not use the fitness center, I went to look at both it and the pool. The pool was basic, just a rectangle and looked like a decent lap pool - but nothing special for kids to play in. The fitness center was one of the largest and nicest I have ever seen in a hotel - very nice with some of the more updated equipment including several treadmills with built-in TV's for you to be able to watch whatever you choose while using the machine.

All in all, this was a great experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay here in downtown Denver. The hotel is only about 5 years old as of this review, is well maintained, convenient, and seems to be a popular and hip hang out... And if you are traveling with family and need more space, I would definitely opt for the Aspen Suite upgrade - it was very convenient. Although we probably got our deal because of the conference we were involved with, I am still amazed at the great rate we paid to stay in this very nice hotel.

I did not stay at the Hyatt. While my adult daughter was there she became sick. She was alone and out of town with no one to call upon and she could not help herself. When I called concierge services at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center to ask if they could help my daughter , I was so delighted that Debra took such an interest. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help her. She was an angel for my daughter who appreciated it so much. It also made me feel better knowing she had someone who was there for her. Thank you Debra for being such a caring person. The Hyatt should value your as a employee.

I would recommend Hyatt Regency in Denver to anyone. Very clean hotel, nice furnishings in the room, comfortable bed, great location. Lobby is nothing short of spectacular. Staff was courteous from the moment we arrived to valet our car. Had a wonderful stay here.
Make sure you check out Peaks Lounge on the top floor of the hotel. Breathtaking views of the city and a cool atmosphere. We were passing through Denver on New Year's Eve and spent the evening at Peaks Lounge. Just a wonderful way to spend New Year's Eve and I would say Peaks Lounge is a "must see" for Denver, even if you stay elsewhere.
