“Fantastic stained glass on a sunny day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2011

An incredible Catholic Cathedral with spectacular stained glass windows, go in the afternoon on a sunny day to see them at their best. Like the previous reviewer said, parking is a problem in this part of town and Colfax is very busy. I parked at the Art Museum and walked up to the Cathedral. Even if you aren’t Catholic, it is worth a stop. Please respect those in prayer while visiting the cathedral.

“Denver's Main Basilica is beautiful outside and peaceful inside.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2010

The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception is a beautiful Catholic church found just outside of downtown Denver on the corner of Colfax and Logan. The highlight of the exterior is the two 210’ spires and white limestone structure.

I am not Catholic but felt welcomed to worship here a few times and experience the full Catholic mass (except the Eucharist). The altar is made of Italian white marble the sides are decorated with German stained glass windows depicting Biblical stories. The organ is beautiful-sounding too.

The only drawback is that parking in the area can be tricky because Colfax is very busy and some of the side streets are one way. It’s not the safest neighborhood after dark either, so if you are visiting from out of town arrive early in the day.
