Super fun place! We didn't have any food as we had just eaten however we tried multiple cocktails and they were all amazing!

The mixology staff and exceptional service at this bar/restaurant is definitely a hidden gem of Denver. With a laid-back crowd, versus the see-and-be-seen crowd around the corner, the chill vibe, this place is a definite must visit.
Since I was the designated driver, I asked for something real yummy. Our amazing mixologist served me a picture-worthy ginger brew (homemade on the premises) non-alcoholic. The ice cubes were perfect squares in the glass, stacked just so, the dim lighting made for a piece of photographic art. I will try to upload the photo because it truly was magical.

If you're looking for a place to show someone who is not from Denver what we're really like..bring them here for a drink. Don't let the bookcase out front fool you, this is a prohibition-era style establishment, with all the old-school charm of the former Northern Italian neighborhood of the 1900's.
Try it..I promise you will not be disappointed.
Sincerely,
not a Denver native..but 20 years here...

Out of the ordinary entry and drinks. It looks like a small bookstore and apartment building on the outside. You probably drive by it and don't notice. They even make you exit through the back to keep up the facade. The drinks are definitely some of the BEST in Denver. Not only are there great selections on the menu but the bartenders are very inventive on the spot if you like. It is very dark inside, but perfect atmosphere. It is loud and energetic. Seating at the bar and in booths. Looked to be one larger table. It is small. Best to try to make a reservation especially if you are going with more than 2 people. Definitely worth the effort to get in! If you plan a night out in LoHi, start here.

You literally enter this speakeasy through a hidden door behind a moving bookcase. You can order some incredible drinks straight from the menu or have your server customize something to your taste. Our waiter was knowledgable and very passionate about his job. The only negative I can think of is that they can't accommodate groups above four or five. If you're visiting Denver, this is a must if you like great atmosphere and strong drinks.
