Description: Marlowe's echoes with the history and charm of Denver and the 16th Street Mall. Since opening our doors on the ground floor of the Historic Kittredge Building in 1982, Marlowe's witnessed downtown's steady growth from parking lots to skyscrapers. Our huge, imported sliding windows open to the 16th Street Mall and afford a wonderful opportunity for guests to watch downtown life glide past, while our hand-crafted Vermont cherry wood bars, vaulted ceilings and black-and-white tile floors are just a taste of our unique architectural style. Marlowe's serves lunch from 11am until 4pm every day of the week. We serve dinner from 4:30pm until 10pm Sunday-Thursday, and from 4:30pm until 11pm Friday and Saturday. You can join us for our delicious (and locally-sourced) brunch on Saturday and Sunday starting at 9am and going until 4pm. We have a late night menu, consisting of just our appetizers, every night for an hour after we stop serving our full menu. Marlowe's also has sizeable wine, cocktail and beer lists. We offer over 21 draughts, more than half from local breweries. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 3pm until 7pm and from 10pm until close. Since Marlowe's grand opening more than three decades ago, we have been one of Denver's most popular spots for lunch, after-work cocktails and dinner. We continue to be committed to our community and pride ourselves on being the oldest locally owned and operated restaurant on the 16th Street Mall. We place strong emphasis on locally sourced products and love being a staple of the Downtown Denver scene!

“Always a great choice”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Wonderful location right on the 16th St Mall, we have been coming here for 20 years and have always had a great experience. Food and drinks always delicious, service is wonderful and friendly without being stodgy. Absolutely love the outside seating but they also have great seats inside and open big doors to let you see out as well. Bar is very comfortable too. Great location if you have tickets to an event at the Paramount Theatre as well. Just a really nice place to go that looks more upscale but doesn't feel stuffy!!

“Nice Break”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

Nice reprieve from 16th Street. Stopped in to get out of the rain and was greeted and told of their happy hour menu, so we opted for the bar. The vibe is cool, the crowd was energetic and the options were great.
In looking for a red, beefy wine, the bartender’s recommendation was right on point (a fab Bordeaux). Service was great, staff was helpful and friendly. Prices were reasonable. I’ll be back.

“Great sidewalk seating, appetizers, wine and people watching”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

Marlowe's is a great local restaurant on the 16th street pedestrian mall. I didn't have dinner on this visit although I have in the past and can assure you it is excellent. Was just out walking and people watching with a friend and decided to stop for a couple of glasses of wine. They have decent sidewalk seating (covered) and a great appetizer menu with some unusual offerings. Lobster tacos are worth a try. If you do have dinner, you'll find a steak menu that is great and a little less spendy than the usual high end chains. Wonderful service too.

“A Great Start to a Denver Holiday...and GREAT People Watching”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

We'd no sooner arrived in Denver than we strolled down the 16th St. area for a lunch at Marlowe's. I had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich (tangy & sweet BBQ sauce; sensational onion rings with horseradish aioli); my wife had the Pacific Cod...equally wonderful, with light corn and salad accompaniments. Our friendly & knowledgeable waitress recommended two different beers to our specifications and both were wonderful. By the end of the meal, she was giving us extensive suggestions for walking tours in the nearby area, all of which met or exceeded expectations. We'll probably go back for dinner tonight or lunch again tomorrow. Grab a seat outdoors or, if the sun is too strong, just inside, and enjoy the incessant parade of interesting people. We even spotted a gent walking his llama down the street.

“Great Happy Hour Experience”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Some business associates and I enjoyed a great happy hour experience here one afternoon. The place was recommended by our hotel concierge. Good drinks and appetizers. A little expensive, but it is in downtown Denver. Nice atmosphere; seems to have a vibrant local happy hour scene, even on a week night.
