This is where Art Institute Culinary students get to practice their cooking skills. Don't be scared- it's extra good. My God, they have teachers standing over them watching their technique. The food I've had there is absolutely delicious. And the waitstaff is amazing and professional. They are doing this for a grade, people.

My boyfriend and I love this place! It's the training restaurant for the culinary school at the Art Institute. The menu is always changing to challenge the students and everyone there does everything. And the best part it that unlike other restaurants where the servers are miserable and pass their unhappiness on to the customer, everyone who works at Assignments wants to be there since they are training to be in the culinary business. The service ranges from excellent to just silly - we've had one server who was trying so hard but just didn't have a clue. But the food is awesome. I ordered the Colorado lamb chops - and it was far and away the best lamb I've ever had. And the prices are right - it's fine dining for a slightly more modest price (my lamb chops - 4 chops with 4 sides - were only $16).

Check it out for a unique experience. Also - the dining room only has 10 tables - so you may want to make a reservation if you're going on a Friday night or a special occasion.
