Spent a week on vacation in Denver and passed the Breakfast King several times on the way to other tourist sites and attractions. Finally decided to stop in just because of the 'look' and the fact that the parking lot was always full at breakfast time. Glad we did!
The inside is truly a classis diner atmosphere. Seats at the bar and booths/tables looked just like a '50's diner. The waitresses even reminded me of the "Flo" character at Mel's Diner (TV).
The breakfast menu was filled with a wide variety of egg dishes, pancakes and other specialties. My wife had the blueberry pancakes and I had the vegetarian omelet. Both were great and way more than either of us could finish.
Since we make an effort to find this style/type of 'local' eateries whenever we travel (no Big Mac's for us!!) we are always open to the adventure. If you're more inclined to stay away from the chain places, you'll enjoy a great breakfast at the Breakfast King.
