“Good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

Just had dinner on a Friday night. This is our first visit. Our waiter was very helpful and his recommendations for food was right on target. The food was delicious, with large portions. Definitely try their Mac and Cheese! It was a crowded, as expected, and very noisy. The tables in one section are very close together. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you want a quiet dinner.

“Service?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

This restaurant was recommended by the consierge at our hotel. We entered the restaurant on a cold afternoon. There were people strategically spread out throughout the restaurant. The four of us were sat by the door (guess it balanced out their seating chart). Each time the door opened,we got a blast of cold air. We eventually put on our coats.

The menu choices were small. Prior to ordering we considered leaving due to the temperature and lack of choices, but we decided to give it a try. Our waitress moved a toothpick in and out of her mouth as she took our order. Then she collected our menus with the same hand that was just holding the toothpick. She came back once to check on us and still had a toothpick in her mouth. Someone from the kitchen staff brought the food to our table. My chicken sandwich was fine. The pickles were odd tasting and one person thought their sandwich was too spicy. Our waitress and her toothpick reappeared when it was time to collect for the check.

We have eaten at several restaurants in this area with much better service and food. We were disappointed. There was someone present that appeared to be a manager and a full waitstaff, but no one seemed to notice that we were wearing our winter coats!

“Good choice in 16th Street”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

16th Street is full of cheap chain eateries so this is a welcome change from the usual offerings. We had fish and chips which was well cooked and tasty and a buffalo burger (a little pink for my taste but perfect for the eater!). Service was friendly but not overly so, prompt and it was good value for money.

“Eclectic, Hip, Noisy With Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

Really good, fast service here. The food was very good. Extensive drink menu. It's a noisy place but not obtrusively so. There was a three piece drum, guitar and harmonica band playing there during happy hour the night we visited that was quite good. This location attracts young and old alike and has a good atmosphere. It is drafty in there dining area so if it's cold outside you'll feel it all the time.
