Description: Sam’s No. 3™ was the third of five Coney Islands restaurants opened by Sam Armatas during the 1920′s. The original location was at 1527 Curtis Street in the heart of downtown Denver. On Sept. 28th, 1998, Sam’s son, Spero, with his grandsons Sam, Alex, and Patrick, re-established his most famous of the Coney Islands restaurants, Sam’s No. 3™. In honor of the age old tradition, they made a promise to each other to continue to provide excellent quality of food and embrace the inviting, warm atmosphere started by “Mr. Sam” more than 75 years ago!In April 2011, our little kitchen was featured on Food Networks "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We were selected because so many local fans had written. A must-stop on any trip to Denver.

If you want a great Diner-style breakfast, this is the place to go. Will be a new favorite in Denver!

We LOVE this place.. Everytime we go the food is EXCELLENT and SERVICE is OUTSTANDING. This is one place I don't mind waiting for a table. Great Bloody Mary's TOO!

I am original from the Tri-state area (NJ,NY,CT) we have diners even few blocks, this was by far one of the best I have ever been to, food was great, staff was even better. Yeah it gets crazy busy on a Saturday/Sunday morning, but well worth the wait. If I lived in Denver this would be one of my regular stops.... Thanks

We went to Sams 3 to grab some dinner before a show at the DCPA. We went with PLENTY of time and when we checked in we were told it was a 35 minute wait. After 45 minutes we went up to check in and the hostess' were SO RUDE. We asked how much longer and they said "we would hate to give you a time and not be able to stick to it but there are still 8 people ahead of you" Um....guess what-you already did that! We then inquired why there were over six 4 top tables sitting empty (we were about the 8th people to ask this and they refused to provide an answer to ANYONE) to which they just starred back at us and didn't say a word. They literally sat their just looking at us, judging us like we weren't worthy of the DINER. Their attitudes were ridiculous. I have only heard great things about this place but you are only as good as your employees and your employees were downright rude. I won't be back. There are way too many good restaurants in Denver to choose from to put up with crappy attitudes from teenagers. We left and had a fantastic dinner one block away!

We went on a Saturday at about 10am. There was about a 45 minutes wait which we almost didn't wait for but are we glad we did! They have 25 different breakfast burritos to choose from. As well as what seemed like hundreds of other things. Great green chili! Great location. Will definitely go back if I am in the area. The burrito I got had 2 chili rellenos in it and it was huge. For only about $10 bucks it was a great value.
