We were visiting in Denver and a friend recommended we try Buckhorn Exchange. The first time we saw Buckhorn it was closed and the area around it looked somewhat less than appealing. I'm sure the area is going through "fixing it up" phase. Anyway, the following Monday, we took the train from downtown Denver and ate here for lunch. The interior, the history and the ambience was fascinating. We ordered the lunch special - Bison prime rib and it was wonderful! So tender you didn't need a knife. Another person in our party ordered the pot roast and loved it as well. I would recommend going at lunch time because it's so much more affordable that time of the day. And call before you go to make sure they are open.
