This place is awesome. Delicious down home cookin'. I definitely recommend trying the BBQ pork, mac and cheese and peach cobbler. Cash only. ....If there is a line, who cares. Just wait, it's worth it

Soul food run by two white guys? And it's epically amazing? In Denver? In 5 Points? Yep. I've been to a few of the soul food places in the area, and by far, Tom's is WAY better. Quality wise, gigantic portion wise, price was, convenience wise, atmosphere wise, everything wise. I agree with Bishoo-------had a bad morning? Go to Tom's! Want to live off of one $11 meal for 4 meals? Eat at Tom's. Want to impress your friends? Eat at Tom's. Chicken fried steak, collard greens, corn bread, fried chicken, brisket-------the most amazing and best mac and cheese in the universe......TOM'S. I'm just sad I no longer work downtown. Get there early, I'm pretty sure they are still only open 11-2 or so and when they run out of food, they are out for the day.

“Had a bad morning ? Go to Tom's for lunch”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

The best Comfort food in town. Menu is relatively small but always varied. Just make a few things exceptionally well is the mantra here. From the jalapeño corn bread to the fried chicken & collards everything is filling and flavorsome. Main course two sides and a fountain drink all served up with a smile from 11:30am until they are sold out. JUst open for lunch Mon -Fri
Be prepared for a line when the doors open. A unique dining experience under $10 worth the drive.

“Amazing, incredible, delicious”

Tom's Home Cookin is hands down my favourite place to grab lunch in Denver, and it's clear to see I'm not alone, as the line snakes out the door and down the street!

The menu is simple, but packed full of flavour - a selection of entrees and sides, and a simple ordering system. I absolutely love the meatloaf, and always accompany it with a side of the best mac & cheese I've ever eaten, and a side of peach cobbler (complete with crispy top.) You also get bread (try the jalapeno cornbread) and a drink (homemade sweet tea or lemonade anyone?) thrown in.

My hubby is a vegetarian, and there's even a whole bunch for him to eat, as they offer a 'plate of sides' which means he can fill up on mac & cheese, collard greens, green beans, and loads more.

Seriously go and pay Tom's a visit - but be warned - once the food is gone, they close! And also, NO PHONES at the counter!

The food is made fresh daily. It is great southern style cooking. Try the Mac and Cheese, fried chicken and collard greens.
