My husband and I always seek out unusual places for breakfast whenever we travel. We are looking for eateries that use fresh ingredients for imaginative dishes in a friendly atmosphere with excellent service. We found all of the above at Sassafras in Denver. The chef hails from Louisiana and puts his magic Southern touch to dishes like Eggs Sardou and Deep South Benedict. Do not go if you are looking for standard fare like pancakes or omelettes. Make sure you try the homemade jams, sausage, bacon and Chunky Monkey bread.
