“Nice”

Very nice, when on a 5 day work trip. Having to walk to and from meetings, this was close to both my hotel and Convention center.

“Convenient Location”
Reviewed December 31, 2013 via mobile

It is a pretty convenient mall in downtown Denver. An important note about downtown Denver - I've traveled all over the world and I have never seen so many homeless people. The lack of social services is alarming. I counted about ten people begging on the block. They tend to be a little aggressive and intimidating. I don't mind people who need money but to be approached all the time was overwhelming.

“People watching”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

The 16th Street Mall is one of the best places for people watching. walking, catching a quick bite or shopping. There is always something going on and different every time. Any day of the year. There are benches to relax on and a free bus.
There are many interesting restaurants and shops.

“16th street mall in Denver Colorado”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

This is a great place and a must see if you ever go to Denver.
Lots of great eateries, coffee shops, and the 'souvenir' shops have some really great stuff in them, not the usual tacky/junky stuff. They are not over priced either.
There is a FREE tram/bus that makes lots of stops along the way that you can hop on and off any time you see something you want to check out and the whole road is closed to regular traffic.
There are several street musicians along the as well.
A perfect way to spend the afternoon.
Have been there every time I go to Denver and look forward to my next trip there again next year.

“Nice walk plus free bus ride”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

On my arrival to Denver, I got the chance to walk the length of the 16th Street Mall (which was few feet from the Oxford hotel where I was staying in). There are quite a few shops, bars and restaurants. Even though it was cold, a respectable number of people were strolling along the sidewalks (as groups, couples or solo). The restaurants and shops are not the best in Denver, but the bar scene is busy and there are quite a few. Midway through the Mall, you'll find the Denver Pavilions which doesn't have a large selection of shops, but has a decent movie theater and offers free parking for shoppers and moviegoers.
A free bus ride is available for everyone, but keep your wallets and belongings safe since sometimes homeless people would reside there (most likely as a shelter when it's cold). I mostly walked, especially when I felt like looking around the shops.
Parallel to the 16th Street Mall (on both sides) are additional shops, restaurants, hotels, and other attractions like the Denver center for performing arts.
All in all, it's a nice walk but nothing too fancy.
