“Cool if it's your first time in a simulator”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

My husband and son participated in this "adventure" although it was cool, They both agreed that the price was a bit high for the experience which was just a little more than using a game console on a very large screen. A neat experience nonetheless but having experienced many simulator type rides and such..this fell a little flat.

“Pricey, but fun...”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

As others noted, this is a cockpit and projection screen that does NOT move. The rudder pedals , stick, and throttle do make this more interesting than a regular video game, and you do get a 180 degree field of view.

They offer several missions and aircraft (we used the F-15 simulator for dogfighting and another person in our group did the bomber intercept mission). This is networked so you can have adversarial/cooperative missions. You have the option of starting in mid air or actually taking off/landing. I thought the air-to-air mission would have been appropriate for any child over about 10 years with some help or about 12 without help.

We didn't pay full price...had a Living Social voucher. I thought it was worth the money at a 50% discount, but would have felt cheated had I paid full price.

Note that the Colorado Mills Mall location is CLOSED now. The only location is inside the Lowry aviation museum and closes at 5:00.

“Meh”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

First of all, only one person was staffing the place. Second, we had a reservation, when we arrived all simulators were being used and we were told he was running behind. Didn't even check our reservation. Lastly, when we did get into the 'simulator' which not really a simulator and as Neal B said, "If this was 1992, this place would be great" it was just a computer and a screen not a real simulator. As well, since the one employee was so busy, we were "in the simulator for our 30 minutes" however 15 of the 30 we just sat because we got shot down and he was too busy running around like a chicken with his head cut off to reset the game when that happened. I would not recommend paying full price for this AT ALL.

Just experienced the Aviation Xtreme flight simulator with my nephew. Instead of spending your money on this, I would recommend buying Microsoft Flight Simulator '98, a Windows XP computer, and a cheap LCD projector and doing it yourself, because that's essentially what you're getting here. If this were the '90s, it might be more acceptable, but in this age of high definition, 3D televisions, this product is embarrassing. They even had trouble getting the preflight, instruction video to play.

“Really fun for both beginner and advanced gamers!”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

This is a perfect example of taking a game to the next level. We found 1/2 price coupons for this activity in Living Social. I am an avid gamer and It sounded interesting so I figured what the heck. There were three of us and only 2 simulators so we had to split up our time into segments. The simulators are really just seats in a mock-up of a plane (complete with throttle, yoke and rudder pedals. There is a curved screen and that makes all the difference (180 degree wrap-around view). You can chose either a mission or dogfighting scenario and if you are with friends - go for the dogfighting. You have a 10 minute video orientation for the controls and then it is off to the simulators. A real minus to this location is the lack of isolation from the retail mall. There is a mall train that keeps roaming the halls and between the gawkers and the train noises, it can be very distracting. Our 1/2 hour session proved to be about the right amount of time as it took at least 10 minutes to figure out the flight controls. At least the flight instructor/coach was there to help us thru the rough spots and assist in the kill shots. We had a great time but it sure would have been nice if they had some way to isolate the simulators from the mall din.
