I had the steak and my husband had the halibut. Incredible service and amazing food. Possible the best steak I have ever had. The sauce was wonderful! I eat gluten free due to celiac and they were very careful and attentive

The chef and general manager have put together a real nice selection of fine wines and food in a relaxed, but elegant atmosphere. Charcoal is located just south of Denver's Lodo area on 9th Avenue at Broadway. Easy parking unlike restaurants in Lodo where parking is really a chore.

Most the dinner choices are quite different from typical dishes, yet the ingredients seem to meld like they were meant to go together. The appetizers and deserts are also very good as is the wine selection. I highly recommend that you give it a try. It's a little pricey, but well worth the cost it if you like fine food and don't want to fight for a parking spot.

We find Charcoal conveniently located before going to the Santa Fe art district. For our second visit to Charcoal for lunch I had the house smoked salmon salad. Ample, with chunks of salmon, sliced eggs and a creamy dressing. My husband had the pork gyro that was served open faced along with a mixed green salad. We both found our lunches to be excellent. We split a tasty dessert; a milk chocolate mousse with caramel and brownie crust. The space is large and open but on this weekday there were only a handful of tables occupied and we found it refreshingly quite and relaxing.

Very nice restaurant in Denver. Nothing special or unique, but delicious food and good service. All of our party were very pleased with their meals. The decor is very minimalist, so it's not a warm and cozy atmosphere. We had a business dinner here, so it was a perfect setting. Overall, it's a great choice for dinner and conveniently located. Would definitely recommend dining here!

We came to Charcoal because Curious Theatre Company [around the corner] told us that the restaurant had a pre-performance meal. While we never knew the restaurant was there, we'll definitely be back. Our meals were wonderful - and the menu had more things we want to try. We told our server of our schedule and the performance time and he told us the approximate prep time for the different menu selections. Fantastic food, fantastic service, very fair pricing.
