It started with the parking lot. Absolutely no parking whatsoever due to the Park and Ride. When we asked about parking, the desk clerk said we could park on the side streets, which didn't seem very safe for us or our car. We parked in another hotel's lot in front of the Microtel and hoped our car wouldn't be towed. A simple solution Microtel could put into place until they have a bigger lot would be to have car tags for customers.
The room was okay, but there were scuff marks all over the door and wall which made the room look dirty and made me wonder how they got there in the first place.
Breakfast was pitiful. As a previous reviewer posted, the packaged foods and a bowl of oranges were the most exciting things there. The milk and the coffee were both out. The tables weren't very clean. The thing that bothered me most is t when I let the clerk know ,the clerk blamed it on the previous customers not notifying the desk. Most hotels we've stayed at check the breakfast area frequently and take the initiative to replenish supplies when they start running low and wipe down the counters and tables.. The milk i was given was sour, so I ended up throwing my cereal away.
We've stayed at other Microtels ( the one in Colorado Springs is nice), but we won't be staying at this one again.
