“A pleasant surprise! Would stay again.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2011

Having viewed previous reviews, I was very worried about staying at this hotel for two nights. However, we were booked and paid for through Priceline bidding and committed, but I had made plans to find an alternative if it was as bad as stated on Tripadvisor.

Airport pick up/drop off was very efficient, as was check in. The room was very good and staff were very helpful. A rear aspect room with views across fields, the room had two very comfortable 5ft beds and a window seat (/ child sleeping area?) Everything in the room was very clean. Wifi was good and we had a flat screen TV. The bathroom was good size and very clean. Everything was in good condition.Complimentary breakfast was good and even started at 4am for early travellers. - I am unable to understand why this hotel has had poor reviews.

There are two other hotels adjacent, but it is half a mile or so from the nearest restaurant. It is, however possible to get food delivered.

We did have one significant issue however... Whilst we were off to Denver for the day, the hotel took delivering on new AC units for all rooms. Contractors (many) propped all room doors open and external doors for convenient access and there was no security for our possessions during this time.If fact I walked into our room without being noticed and could have walked off with anything from the room without being stopped. Nobody noticed me. Fortunately, we did not have any of out things taken... and had left all of our belongings packed up. I was not impressed by this at all. The hotel staff did apologise, but did not really think that this was a problem.

Would I stay here again? Well, how many times can the AC be replaced? - Yes, we would definitely stay again.

Stayed here overnight to visit with a friend following a convention in Denver. We tend to stay at Day's Inn motels (of which this is a part), and just about never have been disappointed. To tell the truth, I enjoyed this facility far more than I did the large downtown hotel in Denver that the convention was held at.

The facility was spotlessly clean, the room well laid out, and the bedding very comfortable. Telephone calls were "no charge" - even long distance. I have never found this to be the case anywhere else. Transportation was provided between the airport and the motel.

Microtel Denver will remain very high on my "recommended" list of places to stay.

The Microtel Inn near Denver International Airport was just what we needed, a cheap place to stay next to DIA. It was clean, comfortable and pleasant. We booked a free shuttle to DIA for the morning. This is a must. You need to book it the day before. The shuttle times run on a schedule so make sure to check this out when you check-in.

The room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Hallways were well lit and clean. We had no problems. People complaining that this was a roach motel, are crazy. This is a Microtel, not a Hilton. There was a complimentary breakfast but we skipped it.

I gave it three stars because it met our needs and didn't disappoint us, but it lacked the luxuries (which is why we stayed there).

I have stayed at Microtel's in the past and this has to be one of the worst ever. Microtel's I have stayed at in the past have had flat screen TV's, microwaves and a refrigerators in all of the rooms this one had none of that, they did not even have irons, coffee pots or anything else in the rooms. The curtains had holes in them and overall the motel was just not comfortable. The breakfast was lacking and they were running out of food and drinks with over an hour left in the breakfast service. If Microtel wants to build customer loyalty all motels really need to offer the same amenities. They had to fax over my stay for me to get my Wyndham Reward points could not do it on the computer (we will see if I actually get them). This hotel was sub-par to be a chain hotel and needs some major work if it is going to keep the Microtel name.

Room Tip: Do not stay in a room near the elevator as the elevator is loud and you will hear it, I was in the r...

Ok, so i usually am not very critical of short stay hotels, but this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. So here is our story.

We arrived from our home after a four hour drive for our overnight stay at the Microtel, We chose this hotel for it's airport shuttle and extended parking, we were the lucky one's in the lobby. Of the 20 or so people there, with paid for reservations, we were the only one's that got our room. The lady at the front desk told all the other people "too bad, our system seems to always lose information and we do not have any rooms for you." She then preceeded to tell me that we could not use the hotel shuttle to the airport, because it had filled up about a week ago for the next morning. When i asked her" how that could happen and that i tried to reserve space three weeks ago when i made the reservations that i was told they could not do that for the shuttle, now you are telling me i dont have a way to they airport?" Her response was that there was nothing she could do and that we had to find our own way to the airport. Well at this point the lobby was full of other people who needed to fix thier problems too, so we left and went to get some food and came back. OK so our second round with the clerck worked out a little better, we (well mostly my girlfriend this time) told her that this problem was thiers not ours and they need to get something figured out and that we need to have a manager here, well at midnight, did'nt think that was going to happen so the hotel paid for a private taxi to get us to the airport.

The hotel itself was clean and well kept. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We did not get to try the breakfast, as we left at 4am for the airport.

We were flying out of DIA to go on the Alaskan Cruise. Trying to decide whether or not to leave our car in the long term parking, take a shuttle, get a ride from family and leave the car at their house,... what to do? Hubs found out Microtel allows parking in their lot, and provides a shuttle to the airport. No extra charge. For the price of a room, free parking and free shuttle? Done deal! The best part is, its a NICE ROOM! Large, clean and with a decent continental breakfast! Only drawback was the parking lot was FULL and we had to wait a bit for a parking spot in the lot, not on the street, to leave the car for the full week. Small inconvenience for a LOT of convenience! The desk clerks were friendly and accomodating, the shuttle drivers friendly and considerate. We have stayed twice now, both good experiences.

We booked this motel because it was cheap, we were getting in late and leaving early the next morning. Beds and rooms were average and we got what we paid for. The continental breakfast the next morning was nice.

Room Tip: Make sure your room is away from the stairwells.
