I want to say that this place sucks so nobody else goes. I want to ride my bike to the top one day. We saw big horn sheep and mountain goats along the road near summit lake

“It is like another world......”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Once you leave the tree level at about 8,000 feet, the whole scenery changes. The road narrow...watch out for bikers...but you do feel like you are on another planet. Gorgeous!

“Worth the Drive!”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

The scenery along this route is some of the most spectacular in Colorado! We were there as the aspen trees were reaching the peak of their gorgeous Autumn splendor. If you have the time, it's worth getting out of the car when you reach echo lake, and take the trail that goes around the lake. And don't forget to bring your camera - you'll want to remember this adventure for years to come!

“Breath taking Experience”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

The Aspens were amazing. This is a terrific one day trip. The drive up mount evans is beautiful. Echo lake is amazing. We saw Rocky Mtn Sheep and Mountain Goats. The views above tree line are unbelievable. This is the highest scenic byway in North America. I believe the drive is the #one senic byway in North america. This is one you should not miss if you are in the Denver area.

“Awesome mountain! Terrifying drive!”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

This is an awesome place to visit. It's absolutely beautiful. It's also the highest paved road in North America with steep cliffs soooo....I reccomend taking someone with you that is a good driver who is not afraid of heights! The best time to go is in September/October when the aspen trees are changing (although the road to the very top might be closed at this time). You won't regret visiting this place!
