We went during Denver Restaurant Week which is a trying time for a restaurant. Servers know they're getting smaller tips and everyone is working harder serving more customers who are getting a great deal.
The true measure of a restaurant is how well they hold up under that pressure.
We were seated right away and our server (Allan?) was there right away with water. All night it was the very best kid of service. They anticipated our needs and were there with whatever we needed. I can't eat gluten and when I mentioned it our server made sure to check each dish I ordered with the chef to ensure that they were all safe. Not only that but they even brought gluten free bread to the table!!!
The atmosphere is very classy but not snobby. Office attire would be fine but dressing up for a show at DCPA next door would also not be out of place.
Take advantage of the valet parking to avoid the hassle (and rarity) of street parking.
The food was fantastic. Everything was prepared exactly as we ordered it. My medium-rare steak really was medium rare and delicious. The Truffle fries were great, the corn and pablano soup was nicely balanced and the desserts were inspired.
After the meal they offered us the cutest chocolate cows (a nice Denver touch).
