“Great Meat!”

Very nice place for a romantic dinner in a beautiful ambiance. The service was excellent and the food - especially the meat outstanding. They also have a big selection of wine.

“Great work event spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

We had a work event here for about 20 people. The private dining room in the back was great, but maybe a little dark. The service was excellent and the food was incredible.

My table shared some perfectly prepared shrimp cocktail to start. These were nice and dry and just rubbery enough. The cocktail sauce was great too - very nice bite to it.

It is a steak place, so that is what you should order. I got the bone-in filet and it was great. Leaving the bone in definitely gives some great flavor. We shared big, family-style sides. The baked potato was just ok and the lyonnaise potato was great. The big winner was the creamed spinach - honestly the BEST I have ever had.

Everyone shared desserts and by far the favorite was the apple cake - sounds simple , but it was great with lots of awesome caramelized walnuts.

Great restaurant.

“Best Steaks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

We were very casually dressed, and were treated as the best dressed diners... The Hostess even allowed us to have a table that was reserved, but said there was ample time between that to accomadate us. Everyone was very skilled at their job, and meals were served very eloquently. Our steaks were done to perfection... Only negative side to this is, and maybe, I am not aquainted with this type of dining, was all the sides, were priced individually... Now, we are paying $35.00 per steak, $33.00 for Mahi Mahi, but an extra price of $9.00 for a baked potato...$11.00 for a side of asparagus...$$9.00 for a casaer salad...$10.00 for French onion soup..... Seriously, could not believe that all we get is a piece of meat for dinner, and have to spill our blood for entrees that should be included as a proper meal, but then that is the world of making money and obviously being a good entreprener.....This was our once in a lifetime experience ... A costly one! with tip, our meal ended up being $149.00 tip included. Our friends( 2 others ) bill was $129.00 with tip..... Oh, and we did share four ways all the side dishes in a table of four... also, quite admirally, we were never once rushed, our experience was very relaxing, and we were made to feel that we were a part of their very fine establishment...... I was truly impressed though that beer was $6.00 and served very beautifully in a pillsner glass, and very classy in the pouring of it at our table....Margarita $8.00.. We only had one drink each... They truly give great detail to their customers, more actually their clientel... This is a great place, So nice to be doted on....

“Shanahan's Steakhouse is excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

M'lady and I dine here once or twice a year for special occasions such as birthday or anniversary. Mike Shanahan is an NFL football coach and a former coach of the Denver Broncos. Championship football rings and the like are displayed near the entrance. The restaurant is located in the Denver Tech Center area by I-25 south of central Denver. I make reservations online flawlessly through Open Table. The food, service, atmosphere and price are all top top quality. Bring your appetite and bank manager. We indulge our steak fetish on these visits and usually each have just a glass of wine. Our bill is generally + or - $200. The sky is the limit with a full bottle of wine from the superb wine list. I highly recommend this restaurant.

“Excellent Service providing Exquisite Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

We had a reservation, but the place was so crowded we had to wait an additional 25 minutes until we were seated at our table ... so while we waited we had a cocktail and entertained ourselves by viewing the Superbowl trophies and rings in their showcase. The moment we were seated their excellent service kicked in bring water & bread to the table and took our drink order. The waitress explained choices on the menu for us and allowed us to take our time to relax and enjoy our company. Our dinner selections we ALL prepared excellently and everyone had a fantastic dinner. It is expensive - but worth it for the experience, food and service.
