I was in town for a conference and my friend and I stumbled across the place for dinner. We got an outdoor table and watched the Blake Street action. It might have been the first menu ever where I wanted to order one of everything. Really, go look at it. I'll wait: http://freshcraft.com/menu/
We had the "garlic chile chicken wings" and they were perfect. They were baked and then only lightly fried (or maybe the other way around), I'm thinking peanut oil, so there was a slight crisp to them but totally juicy and meaty. They weren't dunked in goo, but rather flavored with a little brown sugar and of course the garlic and not-too-hot chili peppers and cilantro. Really, the best I've had. (Sorry, Kildare's of West Chester PA.)
My friend and I both picked off the "medium plate" section, but really they were quite big enough. I had the salmon BLT pita, which sounds ridiculous, but the fish was perfectly cooked (not at all rubbery) and stuffed in a pita with a creamy salty bacon sauce. Brilliant. My friend had the reuben, asking for (and getting) turkey instead of corned beef, and he said it was fantastic.
And yeah, there was beer, and it was really good, but frankly anyone with a tap can give you beer. It was the food that made this place awesome.
