We love Embassy Suites when travelling as a family becuase of the size of the rooms and the breakfasts. This one did not disappoint. The parking is pricey, but it is right in the downtown, and easy to walk to the main shopping and eating areas, so we saved on any other travel costs. It was busy at breakfast but we were there over labor day weekend so not surprising really. We like a bit of Happy Hour action too! This was also busy, but fair enough.

The hotel is located right across the street from the Colorado Convention Center so couldn't be more convenient. Also convenient to lots of dining, including the along the 16th Street mall: walk 1.5 blocks to 16th St and hop on the free mall bus that runs the length of the pedestrian mall with literally dozens of restaurants.

The rooms are spacious suites with nicely furnished living room and bedroom, and kitchen space with microwave and refrig. Both LR and BR have good work space with desks (and plenty of AC outlets) and large LCD TVs.

Service was very good - not typical of convention hotels. Everyone from the front desk to bell staff to maintenance was very responsive, pleasant, and accommodating.

Breakfast was excellent with wide variety and including make to order omelets, which were made exactly to order. Daily 2-hour happy hour with complimentary snacks and drinks is a nice plus.

Nice gym and indoor pool.

Sound proofing in the walls and windows must be good. I was only on the 6th floor, near the elevator and along the center atrium (open to lobby and restaurants below), yet it was quiet – no bother of street noise or noise from inside the hotel.

I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice, clean hotel. Service at the breakfast ordering bar was stellar by Matthew. My suite was quiet (VERY important to me), clean, and huge. Pricing seems a bit high. Pretty plain considering the price. Negatively impressed by the quality of the liquor served at "happy hour". Positively impressed by food served at "happy hour".

I'm probably in the top 10% of travelers around the country in both frequency and variety. However, rarely has a hotel been able to meet and exceed my expectations like Embassy Suites in downtown Denver.

The hotel is located directly across the Denver Convention Center, which means it is an ideal place for any business traveler attending a conference here. For entertainment, it is located one block away from the 16th Street Mall, where plenty of shopping and restaurants are available.

Pros
- Very clean.
- Rooms have excellent sound insulation.
- Rooms have central a/c and heat.
- Two 37 inch TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom.
- Ample storage space and power outlets
- Free breakfast with made-to-order omelettes, freshly cut fruits (variety of melons), donuts, scrambled eggs (pre-made), sausage links, bacon, oatmeal with variety of toppings, variety of juices.
- Free drinks at manager's reception.

Cons
- For $200+ a night, internet wasn't free
- Certain rooms don't have much of a view
- Starbuck's attached to the hotel has very limited service hours
- Parking is expensive
- Fitness center and the pool are kind of small
- Taxi from DIA to Downtown area is about $54.50 (not unique to this hotel, I suppose)

Caution: Make sure your taxi driver charges you the flat fee of $54.50. If he runs his meter instead of the flat fee, your fare will go up to about $65.00 depending on traffic.

We had the pleasure of running a conference at the embassy site denver downtown, and have been treated like royalty throughout. Jessica Cole is an incredible conference manager and Curtis Sommers went way above and beyond to make sure our every need was taken care of!

Thanks so much!

The hotel was awesome. The room was huge. The hotel was full and very quiet. Location is great close to 16th street mall. The complimentary breakfast was lovely and happy hour was a treat. Will definitely stay again.

High - nice breakfast ( with TVs blaring away - could be good or bad, I liked it as sports were on), pretty nice location in Denver, newer. Lows - lacks warmth in a big way (even at Christmas time), you get a feeling you are being hustled a bit by the staff (try to park you car for a ridiculous rate when you can park almost anywhere for a fraction of what they want). Room design is pretty motelish feeling, I guess due to lack of natural light and grey color choices for rooms. Still a good value as all Embassy suites are.
