We had an overnight stay at the Hyatt Summerfield the night before putting my son on his first solo flight. Live just an hour away but didn't want to take any chances on missing the flight so I decided to stay at this hotel right near the airport. I arranged our shuttle the night before with (I think) Kevin. He was great - very helpful. The morning of, we arrived exactly when we were told to. Instead of using the hotel's shuttle (the worker Kyle said the driver quit the night before), they outsourced our ride to "Super Shuttle". Well, that shuttle was a fiasco. There was not enough room on the 1st or 2nd shuttle that arrived for my son and I (although the driver did suggest that my teenager and I could share 1 seat!) We finally loaded up on the THIRD shuttle that came and my son, myself and 1 other guy sat and sat. The hotel worker said he had to call up to the rooms to get people with reservations to come down. By then, it was past the latest departure time they had given us. A guest came moseying on down with carseats, tons of luggage and no accompanying family. Additionally, the other guy who was waiting in the van with us (who spoke very little English) was being told by the driver that he had to pay (instead of it being comp'd to the hotel like ours) so the driver and the hotel worker were trying to get that ironed out. The hotel worker told me he would comp my room $10 for the inconvenience and then came back & said he couldn't b/c it was prepaid but he would comp me a bag of Skittles and a bag of chips! I finally told them I would drive myself and did - we got my son on his flight just in time. The worker had told me he would put a note to the mgr about it but the mgr never made contact with me. Just wondering where the manager was earlier if he knew the shuttle driver had quit? I had asked Kyle if he could pay for my parking and he said No.. He was apologetic and polite about the whole thing but he didn't really offer to make anything right.

It is a nice hotel as far as the room, pool and breakfast go but I would think most people who stay here choose this hotel because of the airport proximity. I've stayed at the Marriott Suites just down the road before and didn't have this problem. I'd probably choose them over Summerfield Suites if I ever stay by the airport again.

We stayed here while in town for a family reunion. I really appreciated the comfortable bedding and the space the rooms provided even with the sofa sleeper out you still have room to move around due to the fully equipped kitchen. The only thing I would change would be to have ovens in all the rooms they do have stove tops however. They only have the ovens in the 2 bed/2bath suites. I would come back to this hotel when I come back to Denver.
