Great way to get from Cherry Creek to the LoDo area, if you have the time. Especially nice to see the falls area just outside the huge REI store - you may even see some kayakers being put through their paces. We've walked it several times and it's quite enjoyable but since it is primarily a bike path, expect A LOT of bikers!

My wife and I took a short walk on this trail/path. We only went from S. Cherry Creek Street to Four Miles Station. We felt as if we had decided to walk on a freeway! Except the it was for bikes.

In spite of the signs saying bikers were to yield, none did. Hardly none gave a warning of any kind they were approaching. And the speeds at which they rode were, in our opinion, were quite unsafe. At one point I turned and my wife pulled me back just in time to avoid a speeding biker.

We been on another bike/walk path in Castle Rock, CO. The folks there are much friendlier, more cautions and certainly are more polite with their warnings.

Enjoy your path bikers. You won't find us on it any longer.

This is a beautiful pathway that stretches all along Cherry Creek from downtown Denver to the river. We stayed in a hotel a block away and ran in each direction the two mornings we stayed in Denver--both were beautiful. As runners, we especially appreciated that bikes/rollerblades/etc. have their own pathway on the other side of the creek most of the way so we didn't have to dodge each other. Our only complaint is that the surface is concrete, which is hard on the joints! How perfect it would be if at least some stretches had a softer surface; asphalt even would be better than concrete. It also is true that there are some signs of homeless encampments and stinky stretches where folks had left their "business," but on the whole, for a downtown natural area in a city this size, it was remarkably clean and safe-feeling.

Part of a very nice urban trail that connects to all parts of the Denver metro area. We rented a couple of bikes from a kiosk near Cherry Creek Mall and followed the trail to downtown. It runs along the creek with running water and small waterfalls. Very rural atmosphere amongst the hustle and bustle. We had lunch at Confluence Park and rode back. Lots of bikers and runners everywhere. Lots of fun. Something different to do in Denver.
