“Christams light show was ok”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

I have not been to the gardens in the summer, but we went to see the Christmas lights. It was nice, but not spectacular. There were a few neat parts, but mostly just a lot of lights. We did not buy the holo-glasses that supposedly make you see shapes in the lights. Overall if you are bored, it is something to do but not a bucket-list item.

“Gorgeous Gardens!”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

Easy parking, lovely restaurant with gourmet cafe foods and 3 types of recycling!

Gardens were fabulous even in October, the Japanese garden and Bonzai tree display was incredibly lovely.

There is a beautiful view from the far back of the property of a lovely park, but every aspect in this garden is so well planned that each walkway is a delight.

The conservatory is well done with multiple levels. A nice contrast to the outdoor exhibits.

Would love to return in spring or summer to see the changing flowers, shrubs and trees.

Truly enjoyed my 2 hour visit!

“An Oasis”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

I've visited the Botanic Gardens several time and always enjoy it. There are different special events throughout the year. I especially like the greenhouse in Winter; it feels like an oasis or a trip to the tropics. The gardens are all lovely and relaxing. There are a good variety of gardens and plants. There is an area especially for children that looks very enchanting. It is a good date spot too.

“Even though it was October”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

Even though it was October and was getting to be out-of-season, we enjoyed looking around the gardens. I particularly liked seeing the transition of the edible gardens sections and comparing with my garden in Texas. There were a variety of neat areas, although several were under construction and so weren't available to us. I would love to go back during a more appropriate season.
