To be fair to this facility, I think we visited too early. May is apparently the end of winter, rather than the beginning of spring in Denver. Plants were just beginning to bud. The gardens themselves didn't appear to be very well kept. The greenhouses and hothouses had some fabulous plants, but for the cost of admission - there just wasn't much to see. The most fun we had all day was our time spent in the gift shop. That place had some great gifts. I hate to review this so harshly. It may be beautiful in spring. It wasn't much to see in early May.

We listened to one of the orchid transplanting sessions - very interesting. We enjoyed walking around outside... even in the winter.

The location of this gem, hidden inside a neighborhood, adds to the sense that you've made a discovery here. It's tucked away in an urban neighborhood in such a way that it begs for exploration. The recent renovations were done with impeccable taste and an eye for detail. The childrens' gardens are incredible! Water features offer cool relief in the heat of the Colorado sun, and art is master here. Stunning. And oh, yeah, the garden beds are gorgeous.

good food to have while you are visiting gardens, better than most attractions. Order at counter and sit in the restaurant or on the patio. Decent food quick.

Very nicely conceived and executed. One of the nicest, friendliest places to visit in Denver. Science, art and just plain beauty merged.
