Wonderful displays of early transportation vehicles. Most unique museum I have ever visited. Many cars had cardboard under the engines to catch the oil drippings. There are a few cars/jeeps provided for you to get your picture taken in.

The Forney Transportation Museum contains a wonderful display of vintage cars and trains, including an outstanding collection of early 20th century automobiles, some cars owned by famous people, several beautiful deco cars that are realistically works of art, and numerous railroad items including an amazing Big Boy locomotive. The scale of the Big Boy is unbelievable until you have stood next to it. Aficionados of early motorcycles and bicycles will also have plenty to see. One of the most unique features of the museum is the life-size wax characters in period costumes displayed in and near some of the cars and trains. Some museum exhibits are permanent while others change over time. We had the opportunity to see an excellent display of Chevrolet Corvettes during our visit. The museum is roomy, clean, and well lit. It is located in a large warehouse tucked in behind the Denver Colisuem on Brighton Boulevard at I-70, very close to the National Western grounds. A very enjoyable visit, and strongly recommended to all fans of early cars and trains.

This place is absolutely huge! It is easy to spend many hours here just looking at all the different styles of cars. There are some very unique and interesting cars here. I am not even a big antique car fan, but loved this museum and the collection is amazing. This really is a museum for the whole family!

There have some seriously old vehicles here, very cool to behold. I have been once with my dad, and once with a friend and his rug rats. The kids loved it.
