“Our fav park!”
Reviewed October 1, 2011

We go to this park often for two reasons. It's beautiful and we live close by. This time we took our out of town guests here and rented a paddle boat. We also had a picnic and walked through the botanic garden. We were lucky that it was still in bloom. Park and parking is free.

“Love Wash Park”
Reviewed September 25, 2011

Me and my family go here often- I love that kids under 15 can fish for free and my kids really enjoy being able to. There is also a great wooden park with lots of grassy areas to picnic. The park can be extremely crowded but you never feel crowded.
I have also gone here for 5k runs and walks. The paths are well maintained.
You can also rent paddle boats and large family style bikes, we have never done that but I hope to soon

“On a Nice Day, The Best Place to Be in Denver”
Reviewed September 6, 2011

For a taste of "local" life in Denver, we highly recommend checking out "Wash Park" especially for those visiting between the months of March and October. The city of Denver has over 200 parks, and you'll find that most people identify where they live in the city by the park closest to them. Washington Park is amongst the largest and is a great place to take part in the active, outdoors, Colorado life-style. The park offers walking/running paths, paddle boats & multi-person bicycles for rent, a rec-center, covered picnic areas with grills, tennis & basketball courts, gardens, fishing ponds & vast green lawns where you will find people playing just about every sport imaginable. Last but not least, some of the greatest people watching around, go on a hot summer afternoon and you will most certainly leave with a smile. Denver may not have beaches and an ocean, but it does have the world's greatest park!

“Like this”
Reviewed July 23, 2011

Great little park, we stopped to have lunch and just people watch. We had wanted to do a paddle boat but we both agreed we would probably be to sore to do this but it was reasonable priced as was the ice cream we brought as we walked around. They rent the paddle boats, bikes and kaykas and it all looked like so much fun and if we had went back on another day I might have done it. It seems like a very popular park and I enjoyed this greatly. Its worth the trip if you have some time and want to people watch

“Great park and neighborhood Area”
Reviewed June 11, 2009

A cab ride from downtown but a neat park with a really cool little bar/lcoal dining area nearby. Look for the Washington Park Grille and you have found both.
