Enjoyed a 45-minute tour of the museum. Afterwards, we were free to tour on our own. Very knowledgeable staff.

We attended the opening day of Passport to Paris, three exhibits filled with art work of Monet, Renoir and other impressionists. Very well done with the exception of the audio commentary-a little annoying with commentary seemed to be directed to children.
The other exhibit: Nick Cave's Second Skin and Native American area got raves from my teenagers. Enough exhibits to stay at museum for several hours.
Nice gift shop, but expensive like most. The local handmade jewelry however was very nice and reasonably priced.
We used a discount code:TCOVER that we saw advertised at Tattered Cover Bookstore for a $3 discount on each ticket, text 720-606-4756 and you can click for a coupon. You can also use the code DAW for online reservations. Both expire Feb. 9, 2014.

Fascinating new building and excellent gallery spaces. Well lighted, and obviously succeeding because there are tons of young people coming to see the exhibits! It's a competitive business, and DAM appears to be growing well.

Spreading over two buildings there are the usual suspects along with some contemporary art that opens the mind.

The fabric displays with a dress worn by QEII were interesting.

Definitely worth a couple of hours.

Overall, worth going to but I have enjoyed the art museums in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Minneapolis more. As a previous reviewer stated. There is an odd layout to this museum.
