“Go during the week”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

The recent YSL exhibit was worth 3 visits... better than this year's Met Costume exhibit we thought. The previous Chinese exhibit was incredible. Madeleine Albright's pin collection was fascinating. Go during the week and take your time... have a leisurely lunch and enjoy the museum's architecture.

Just there today and the time spent was too short. This museum is truly outstanding from the building design to the displays. The original Denver Art Museum was opened about 1971 and a new wing a few years ago.
The display of Native American Art is the best I have ever seen including being better than the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody Wyoming (another favorite musuem of mine) and their display of the Plains Indians.
The museum is worth multiple visits and the "Being Van Gogh" special exhibit is anticipated greatly by myself and many others. Of note is the excellent restaurant (Palette's) and terrific gift shops with articles to purchase that you will not find any where else.
Go and enjoy and then go again and again.

“If You Like the Arts Then a Trip Here is a Must.”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

Four floors of fantastical interesting Art. From western civilization, to Africa, to modern moving art; you will be entertained. I even got a chance to make my own post card and mail it back to myself in Atlanta. Not a fan of the arts... just walk to the museum. The scenery is amazing. The Denver Public Library, the Denver History Center, and the beautiful park; you will certainly find something that is aesthetically pleasing.

“Nice Museum”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Spent a nice afternoon here in air conditioned comfort on a hot August day. The museum is large! Lots of variety in the collection. I liked the interactive things that they had for kids (and big kids like me). And the archtitecture of the place is striking!

We liked the display about the airlines. They give info on how the Denver Airport was architectually made...that was very interesting.
