We went here as part of an organized outing for the spouses of conference attendees. The museum was overrun by kids on field trips which made it difficult to thoughly enjoy many exhibits. While I'm glad that the museum is open to young minds, it seemed extremely unorganized and I'm not sure if that was the museum's fault, the school's fault, or a combo of both. We did watch the panda movie in the Imax theater - very good and informative.

We are DMNS members and try to make it to all the special exhibits. The museum is wonderful overall and we enjoy visiting even when there isn't an exhibition on display. However the Silk Road experience is second to none and I would highly recommend it! The current Whale special is also very interesting and well put together. I would recommend anyone visit the museum, whether you're visiting or a local, whether your alone or with a group of any size. A Denver gem!

The grounds are well maintained with a small lake in distance and the mountains beyond. Was able to park in lot close to the entrance. It was a beautiful sunny day so the stroll around the grounds outside was relaxfull. Inside, the exhibits were all curated well and interesting, with the Minerals Exhibit one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I came on a day that there were probably at least 500 school children at the Museum, so it was hard to read and leisurely enjoy the museum. There are 3 levels so I worked around it and was able to see most exhibits. The Gift Shop was well stocked and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Overall, I would love to come back again but on a day that isn't so loud and crowded inside.
All employees were very friendly and helpful with all questions.

Great and informative museum to visit especially the gem exhibit .The most spectacular was view was from the level 4 skyterrace. You can get a beautiful pic of denver from the terrace like a post card pic. We were fortunate enough we were there at dusk and got beautiful lighting for our photograph.
