Excellent museum, highly recommended. We were there with two small children (3 and 6 years old) and they loved it as there are numerous exhibits pitched at the kid level. But the adults enjoyed it too. Don't miss this place if you visit Denver.

Even though the museum has been working on updating some of its exhibits over the past few years, and they have done an incredible job in making them more interactive and accessible to kids, many of the exhibits haven't changed since I was little and they feel outdated. That being said, the museum has hosted a number of incredible temporary exhibits over the past few years and I have consistently been impressed!

I finally pulled the trigger and got a membership for my self, mom and sister. Go with the family plan and you can take up to 7 other with you. This is one of the better ways to spend a weekend afternoon or catch an IMAX. I have personally been to the Real Pirates, Pompeii, and Mastodon exhibits and can't wait for more to come. It is kinda like Disney, as in you can't really take it all in in one day. So do yourself a favor and get a membership, if your from out of town and have a membership at your local Museum check with the info desk, you may be able to get in for free!!!

There is quite a bit to see, so you'll need to give a full day or repeat the visit. Highlights include, the space exhibit, the prehistoric journey, and the health exhibit, which has many hands-on activities. The discovery area is very nice for young (under 8) children, with shows throughout the day on various topics. They also have one of the better cafeterias I've seen in a museum. The salad bar has everything.

The zoo is doing some updating, time for the museum to do the same. A lot of the exhibits are the same as when my kids were little and they are now in college. Looking for something new to see my self.
