This is a favorite of myself and my 6 yr old daughter. She could go everyday and never get bored! We love the special exhibits as much as the permanent collection. The manned info stations where you can touch and feel makes for lots of fun for the kids!.

“Great museum”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

I had a day free while I was in town, so I decided to head to the well reviewed museum and see the Pompeii traveling exhibit. What a great set up. After spending a couple hours in the special exhibit, I was ready for some lunch. Luckily there is a cafe on site, decent food and free ice water. Then I headed back in to enjoy the other exhibits. I think this a great museum with plenty of learning for all ages.

“Extremely well run”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

This is an extremely well run museum with an amazing variety of natural history. Everything from mining and gems, to civilizations, to space exploration. They also do a great job of rotating in and out travelling exhibitions.

“Nice place to spend time with family”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

The museum was fun and a great place to let a 2 1/2 year old run around and look at the exhibits. There are a few large dinosaur skeleton replicas. All of the other exhibits are very detailed models, mostly or animals. The space discovery section was a lot of fun too. Kids under 3 are free.
