I've been coming here since I was a kid and the reason I keep coming back is they always have great new exhibits to see. This is well-done stuff that they somehow find a way to make relevant. Excellent programs for kids, too.

Plan to spend a least 4 to 5 hours here exploring all that the Museum has to offer. If you or your children are interested in Dinosaurs, this is the place to get your "fix". Lots of wonderful exhibits including one where the dinos actually "come alive" - it was a little to realistic though, for our three year old granddaughter, who found the sounds to be very scary. You can also get your picture taken with the dinosaurs, which is a nice souvenir. Beyond the extensive dinosaur exhibit are lots of amazing dioramas depiciting areas of the United States, Colorado and the world. Be sure to find out what special exhibit (such as King Tut, etc.) may be there for a additional fee. A nice lunch area is available where you can buy food or bring your own snacks and the gift shops are well stocked with reasonably priced souvenirs.
