Go! It's a delight for all! Take a spectacular walk through a dynamic dazzling display of colorful lights of all sizes and shapes! You'll see lions pouncing through bushes, caterpillars inching toward a beautiful butterfly, the Maharajah's bedecked elephant, and even Big Foot tromping through the woods!
It's a perfect outing for all ages (12 & under are free!). It's a long walk around, so bring strollers for the little ones, or a wagon to pull. There is a small train that circles continually for those who prefer to ride.

What a great evening to spend looking at awesome lights throughout the zoo. Trees are lit, various lights of animals throughout the zoo. Good parking. You can't see many animals st night but enjoy walking the entire zoo and seeing beautiful colored lights throughout. All ages!!

Its so cold that the animals (at least the mammals) prefer curling up in their lairs/holes than venture out to the open. The performance shows of the sea lions are cancelled.
Its not December so there is no zoo lights.
So summing up, it would have been better if I had visited it at warmmer times :(

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to reach out. Feedback from our guests is very important to us and we always want them to have a positive experience. It's true that weather can be a factor when visiting. Many animals have both indoor and outdoor portions of their exhibit, so when the temperatures are colder, some choose to remain indoors. We hope that you got to enjoy some of our indoor exhibits though, such as Bird World, Tropical Discovery and Emerald Forest. Also, in the future, sometimes Guest Services knows which feedings and demos will be cancelled that day so it might be worth a call day-of to check with them and ask, at 720.337.1400. We're sorry that you didn't get to fully enjoy the Zoo! Hoping you can come back another time for a different experience.

I'm a zoo snob and I adore this zoo. Unless you plan on spending 2 days, you most likely will not get to all the exhibits and shows. A must do for groups with kids.
