“Great trip to the zoo”
Reviewed August 7, 2014 via mobile

Being from Washington DC I was not sure what to expect. The Denver zoo admission is reasonable, the animal variety is vast and it was an utter joy to explore. The volunteers sprinkled throughout the exhibits were well informed and were a welcomed educational addition to our trip.

“Good Zoo”

A nice zoo, free parking. It was $15.00 per person. A few exhibits were empty. Lots of flowers and trees to enjoy

“Great place for families”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

Lots of cool animals in this zoo. We like the "right side" of the zoo, with a 2 year old, where there are train ride and carousel. Bear mountain, penguins, birds, and monkeys are very young children friendly exhibits. It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours for us to see almost everything on this half of the zoo ground. For older children and adults, plan for a 2-4 hour visit with lunch in the zoo.
Try to arrive earlier on weekends, for parking can be pretty full after 11am.

“Zoo trip”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

Went to the zoo with family from out of town who hadn't been to our zoo in several years. It was a beautiful day out. Not hot and not rainy. Which is where the huge crowds of people had the same idea as us. Parking was absolutely horrible. This includes down 4 levels of parking lot. After circling and back up the garage, we found one. Some improvements to the zoo such as the Asian Elephant exhibit. New and pretty surroundings for the elephants. Food was o-k priced. But very good for hot dog and pizza for kids and mac and cheese. We have a very big zoo. So wear good shoes and bring water and lunch for that matter- yes, You can bring your own lunch and drinks in which is a plus. It was a beautiful walk around the grounds which are very nicely kept. Very clean zoo. Flamingos were verry smelly- don't stand too close! Enjoy a beautiful leisurely walk around the zoo. We did.
