“Loved it.”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

It's everything people say it is. It's a great zoo.We really enjoyed the new elephant passage. I appreciated that the exhibits at the zoo are more natural and realistic, and that the animals have more space than some other zoos I've been to. We spent three hours and didn't see everything. There are staff and zoo keepers all over to answer questions. It is obvious that the zoo has invested in these exhibits to make them more educational. Some of the exhibits are bulky, in that you have to walk through the whole thing to get to one section. For example, I only wanted to see the great apes but had to work my way through strollers, kiddos, and lots of monkey exhibits to make it. I expect kids at a zoo, but it's frustrating when moms navigate their strollers like they drive. Anyway, I digress. Overall, our experience was a great one.

You will enjoy the zoo. They have expanded and there are so many areas to visit. I have never taken my grandaughter there that she hasn't left exhausted and had fun.Make sure to watch the animal show , it's a must see each time we go.The birds fly over head.

“An extremely good zoo”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

I hadn't been to the Denver Zoo in years, and I have been to many zoos since then, but the Denver Zoo has done an excellent job investing in the exhibits and layout. It was really very nice. The offer a military discount which saves you a bit of money. Spring is a great time to go. The animals were very active. Be sure and catch the pretators show...they feed either the lions or wild dogs. We saw the lion feeding and it was amazing.

The museum is always improving so you may see something different every time you go. They used to have concerts there don't know if they still do.

“What's not to like!!!”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Denver has a great zoo. Fun to walk and see the animals. It can get a little crowded with kids at times. However, kids and zoos kinda go together....
