The Zoo lights holiday festivity is a great way to spend an evening during winter break. The Denver Zoo does a great job! It's worth a family outing.

We loved takeing our grandchildren there and they loved it. They loved seeing the seals doing things they were trained to do and rideing the little train with my 6 year old granddaughter was a trip. She had her grammy and grampy with her on there.
We all had our favorite animal and then more that became favorites. It is a fun place to go on a nice warm day, Loved reading the plaques telling about each animal and our little granddaugher wanted us to read them to her, so she could know things about each animal. She's always ready to go there.

The Primate preserve is great. On cold days you can wander around the indoor rainforest exhibit. It's nice to just wander around. Activities scheduled throughout the year.

Everyone was very friendly here, which was really great. The animals were also very active, which was really neat. Our only complaint about this zoo is, after reading reviews here and seeing everyone talk about how "green" it is and natural for the animals, we were expecting a Woodland Park Zoo type of place, and this was far from it. Most of the exhibits were rock/cement and many were very small with plaques telling how that exhibit was built in the early 1900s. Time for an update, Denver Zoo! The animals deserve one!
