Fairfield Inn & Suites Denver Airport
Ranked #60 of 160 Hotels in Denver

Nothing particularly memorable about this Marriott property. That's a good thing when you're after a place to sleep and get a hot shower. It is a typical budget Marriott that met expectations. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. The breakfast was also typical and adequate with coffee better than most. Plenty of free parking. Located on "hotel row" near the airport, there are places to eat in walking distance. 7/11 is close by for filling up the rental car. It was a convenient location we'd choose again.

On our recent return from a trip to Europe, we got stuck in Denver as our plane was late due to weather and had to find a hotel at late notice. We stayed at this Fairfield Inn close to the airport. Although the hotel needed a little updating, the staff was the most friendly and accommodating staffs we have come across in our travels. They were inquiring as to our needs for getting us back to the airport the next morning. The wake up call was even a pleasant wake up call. If ever there again, we will stay at this Fairfield Inn.

This is a newly renovated hotel and we were very happy upon arrival. The room looked like it was brand new and it was supper clean. Yes, it is on the way to the airport and a bit out of town but we are only talking a 8-10 min drive back to town if that. We usually ended up eating in the city at night so I can't comment on the restaurants nearby. We were at this hotel for 4 nights. The cleaning staff did an excellent job each day, and it was nice when we got back each night to have a clean room. The breakfast was very good each morning and it was well stocked. There was enough parking for everyone. The wi-fi in the room was good. We would stay here again if we were ever in Denver.

This is a nice place to stay if you are flying in or out of Denver airport. The staff is very nice and the rooms are clean and as usual you can beat the marriott beds. The only complaint I would have is the outside noise.

The rating is with consideration given for the class of hotel. This is not a five star hotel nor did I expect it to be. We just needed a convenient, clean, comfortable place to stay for the weekend.
We were in town for a memorial service. I chose this hotel due to my Marriott Rewards account and its access to and from the airport as this was a quick trip. We arrived early morning after a late night flight (1:30 am) and were greeted pleasantly by the young woman at the front desk. We were checked in quickly and professionally. Due to the late arrival we hoped to sleep in a bit before our anticipated stressful day. We placed the "do not disturb" sign on our door. At 9 am we heard the "knock, knock, knock, Housekeeping!" announcement at every door on our floor. They did not knock on our door but since we could hear this from all the other doors, it didn't really matter. Once the housekeeping staff knew a room was empty, she would open the door, flip the latch that usually locks the door from inside and Wham! let the door slam against it. I presume this propped the door open so they could determine the rooms that needed cleaning.
I realize they have an important job to do. I just request they do it without the Wham! slam technique. Needless to say, we were up at 9. Note: Even in this type of hotel near an airport, not every patron is an early riser/business traveler.
At the end of our day (11:00 pm) we returned a rental car to the airport and proceeded to the airport to catch the Fairfield shuttle. We called the hotel to be sure the shuttle was running and, though barely audible, we were told one would be there in 15 minutes. After 20 minutes we called again on a different phone (thinking the audio issue was on our end)and were told the same thing and again could barely hear the person at the hotel. After another 20 minutes we begged another driver from another chain to drive us to their property near the Fairfield where we would walk to our hotel. He said he couldn't do that but that he was sure our shuttle was on the other side (East/West) of the airport. We trudged over there and no shuttle. Emotionally and physically exhausted, we grabbed a taxi ($26.00) and finally arrived at the hotel. One shuttle was parked and dark right in front of the entrance.
The gentleman at the front desk was who we spoke to on the phone. Turns out he was barely audible in person. We asked for a manager but were told none were on duty. We explained our difficulties with the shuttle and asked for a refund of the taxi fare and he said he couldn't do anything about it. I was provided a card with a manager's name on it and was told a manager would be available in the morning. We had an early flight so after what amounted to a nap, we were back at the front desk the next morning. Our low talker front desk person was the only one in sight and the line at the front desk appeared to indicate we weren't the only ones who had a difficult time with him.
There are plenty of other options available near the Denver Airport, Marriott and otherwise, so we will not be returning to the Fairfield.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your review. Please accept my sincerest apologies for your poor experience. Let me assure that we have reviewed your frustrations with the team to ensure that these issues do not occur again with future guests. Typically our shuttles pick up more often than any of the other services in the area, so we were genuinely surprised with your experience. I have also spoken with our housekeeping team to ensure that they understand how important it is to honor the 'do not disturb' sign to allow travelers to relax for as much time as they require. Again, thank you for sharing your feedback so we can improve! We hope you will give us another chance to serve you if you return to Denver and provide you with a much better experience.

Having been an airline employee for several years and the hotel has a contract with this location, I'd stayed there numerous times. I retired, so it had been a while since I was there. We ran into a flight delay...(whoa....! never saw that one coming...) so I called them last minute to see if they had any rooms available. They did. We went out to the hotel and I was impressed with their makeover. All new paint designs in the rooms, newly renovated breakfast area and with a couple of very customer orientated front desk clerks. Transportation shuttles ran on schedule, easy checkout and overall worth the trip. Good job Fairfield!

Room Tip: We asked for first floor. That puts you close to the desk, pool and breakfast area.

As with most Marriott properties, the grounds and hotel itself are very clean. I was in town for a quick in and out trip so wanted to stay near the airport, no point in spending more money for another hotel when this one has the typical great marriott bed for a good night's sleep. I could only get a handicap accessible room on the ground floor (I never enjoy staying on a ground floor). The only issue I had with the room is that it smelled faintly of mildew when the ac unit was not running, like something got wet at one point. Other than that, good sleep, nice linens, hot shower, clean room. VERY pleasant front desk staff.
