I'm working in the area and will be staying here probably for 12 weeks or more. Its on one edge of a very corporate business park. The light rail is walkable during warmer weather, but you need to leave from Union Station at night. Hardly anything else is walkable from the hotel, except local corporate buildings. Plenty of daytime delis and a couple of nighttime bistros and restaurants a short drive away within DTC. The hotel is fine. Rooms are nice and clean.

I am a diamond member and checked in early to room 213 my first week not knowing the view consists entirely of HVAC equipment. The hotel did nothing to override my room selection. You'd think they'd know it is a horrible room by now. I've left it up to them since then and they give me great views each week.

If you're eating dinner on Arapahoe (where you have dozens of options), be sure to head east on Belleview and drive through Cherry Creek State Park to get to Arapahoe. Its a very nice way to relax for about 10 minutes right after work. Much better than just jumping on the Interstate.

Room Tip: High floor, odd numbers. DO NOT take room 213. 603 was perfect, for instance.

We loved the view of the mountains, the room was very clean & spacious. The only bad thing about the room was the microwave didn't work that great ( popcorn wouldn't pop right ) & the shower was very slippery. The pool was very nice, clean, big & relaxing & all around great. We were pretty disappointed that there was no free breakfast for the price of the room & the pavilion was a bit pricey on the snacks also.

Room Tip: The king evolution suite was just a little more than the basic rooms & our room was located on w...

I stayed here during a convention that is starting to get a little big for the capacity in the Tech Center area. The Hilton handled the volume extremely well. One of the elevators broke down and it was fixed the next morning. The management also allowed the exterior door where the stairwells let out to remain unlocked so guests could actually use the stairs if they wanted. I don't understand why buildings are being designed with stairwells that only let you leave during a fire and not simply move between floors if you want to bypass the elevator. A new wing of my hospital has the same problem. The bed was good (though I couldn't really tell a difference in their "Select your own comfort" thing) and despite the volume of people coming and going along with our proximity to the elevator it was remarkably quiet.
Only thing to ding was the surprise breakfast. It was good and actually appropriately priced for what was offered but I didn't hear mention of price when checking in and I didn't see any signage stating that this was not a free buffet. Was just a little taken aback when a check was dropped off.
Overall I'd recommend staying here if you're in the Tech Center!

Located in the DTC area, meaning surrounded by office buildings.
I prefer this hotel over other in the area becuase my rate includes a very decent hot breakfast, silent and calm lobby and floors.
The fitness room is small but the covered pool is perfect.
The hotel has it's own restaurants but near it (walking distance) there is a Wendys an Indian tavern and a mexican restaurant.
Also walking distance you can take the tram to downtown.

Room Tip: Rate which includes breakfast

This Hilton Garden inn was lovely. Located in the Denver Tech Center it was convenient for my husband's business needs and near by restaurants and shopping for me. The room was fresh, clean and well equipped. The lobby was lovely and the staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and driving directions. They even loaned us an umbrella one evening. This is an upscale and very enjoyable property. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Next time I would ask for a west facing room so I could see the Rockie Mountains.

The hotel is in heart of the DTC area and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. They also offer a free shuttle service for guest who need to travel within 5 miles of the property. During my stay the hotel was running nearly full so that might be part of the noise problem. The rooms are small, but clean, and the beds are comfortable. However the walls are thin and you can hear guest talking at normal levels in the room(s) next door. Also the room doors slam shut loudly and that is what you hear most of the night and early morning. The in-room coffee is alright however don't expect housekeeping to replace your coffee everyday. (I had to go to the front desk daily to ask for coffee) Breakfast is not free unless you are a Hilton Honors gold or higher. The workout room is fairly decent with plenty of cardio machines and a few free weights. Biggest complaint here is the noise factor with the doors. Very loud and annoying.

We have always enjoyed Hilton Garden Inn. Compared to other 5-star hotels, HGI offers value for the money. We had a room facing the mountain, and had a beautiful view of the mountain and the sunset. The bed is wonderful to sleep on. The room is equipped with a fridge, and micro-wave, but the only shortfall is that the room does not have a safe.
