We stayed at the Days Inn Denver Downtown. There was not enough parking for this hotel. The seal around the doors were falling off and there were patches all over the walls. All you could here all night were sirens. Not a pleasant stay.
Had a shirt laid out, not even near the bathroom, and some how the cleaning lady dripped bleach all over my shirt and ruined it!!! Then the woman at the desk stalled until the day I had to leave to try and contact a manager. Still waiting for my money back! Do NOT stay at the days inn in Denver.
This was the start of a big roadtrip for 4 Brits travelling through several states and lots of small towns with a few big cities. Hotels in denver were pretty expensive and this one came in around half the price of those closer to downtown. On arrival it was obvious that parking was tight (there were two music festivals on and it was gay pride weekend), however the manager was great and moved cars around to make the most of the spaces. Rooms on 2nd floor overlooked the bar next door, some noise but not late and didn't bother us. Room was standard days inn but spacious and clean. Breakfast again standard fare. Some may find Colfax a bit downmarket but we loved the eclectic bars and only went downtown during the day. We walked the city and the river and it's a gorgeous clean city.
If I went back would I use this hotel again? Without a doubt-cheap/comfy bed/good location and friendly staff!
