Not only is this Michael Graves building pleasure to look at, it is also a pleasure to use. A strong collection, friendly staff, and a overall desire to serve make this building an incredible plus for Denver.

The DPL has recently received additional funding from the citizens' approval of a referendum providing for that additional funding. The hours have been expanded, capital improvements are being made, computers are available, and the staff is enthusiastic, competent, cooperative, and anxious to assist.

Well, I don't know what a traveler would do with the Denver Library, but I sure love it and use it ALL THE TIME. The library provide me with the majority of my reading and viewing material. The branch library in my neighborhood has lots of books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs on display shelves. There are computer terminals for visitors as well. The Central Library in Denver downtown is a beautiful building right there with the art museume and well worth a visit.

This library is incredible --several floors of endless wonder! They keep up with new books, as well as having a truly incredible children's section, and research books. I went in there looking for some books to learn Romanian, and found a whole section of tapes, cds, and books on every language from Scottish Gaelic to Basque.
There is an adorable, family owned and operated café on the bottom floor, self-checkout, an enormous movie section, and really helpful staff.
