“Genealogy dream”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

As researchers, Denver had an easily accessible genealogy collection that was not limited in scope. They also had both electronics and a large room full of many different types of research books. Highly recommend for this purpose.

“The art is worth the trip”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

The art collection on the fifth floor was a hit, as well as the quilt collection on display. Additionally on the fifth floor is a collection of maps -- recent and historic, including campaign maps from WW II and Vietnam. Don't miss the engineering drawings of railway rolling stock on the seventh floor. And, if the board room is open, there is a table created for and used in the Clinton era meeting of eight world leaders that took place in the room.

“Great architecture”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Fun building just to walk around (the outside) because of the cool architecture. Love the sculputures, and it's right next door the the Denver Art Museum so be sure to take a look on the way...

“Be careful!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

The new portion of the library is a stunner - very beautiful and with a wonderful art collection on the higher floors. BUT beware of the small army of homeless who regularly camp in here. Definitely a turn-off and I never want to touch anything in there.

“Priceless Resource with Top-Notch Staff”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

The Downtown branch of the DPL is an absolute gem. On the third floor is the Western History and Genealogy division where, assisted by the knowledgeable and motivated staff, you can do your own research on the history of this region
