Owner description: Comedy Works has been Denver's premier destination for the very best in stand-up comedy since 1981. As one of the nation's true comedy landmarks, we routinely attract the country's top comedians. We also enjoy a strong reputation for developing new acts and fostering a talented base of local comedians. Many of our homegrown acts have become major forces in the national comedy scene, appearing on Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, Craig Ferguson, and Last Comic Standing, which our very own Josh Blue won.

“A great time!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

The Host/MC was very funny in his own right and was treated to the Headliner + 2 more comedians for my entry fee! Lots of fun. Seating was pretty close but that is not uncommon for Comedy Clubs. Mixed drinks averaged $8 and w/ a 2 drink minimum bring lots of cash because the drinks were very good!

“Late Night Laughs”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

In Denver for a long weekend and found out Jim Breuer was in town; tickets were a little expensive, but it was totally worth it! The venue itself was really cool; but the seating was cramped and very different from any comedy club I've ever been to. Once we started laughing and drinking it was easy to forget that we were squished together. Jim Breuer and all the opening acts were hilarious... I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for something to do in the city aside from visit brew pubs.

“Lots of laughs”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

In town visiting family on our anniversary and saw this club in hotel book. We went to the location at GreenwoodVillage. We saw 3 stand up comics and the ticket price was only $15pp labor day weekend. Excellent seats, didn't look like a bad seat in house. They do have a 2 drink or food item per person, which didn't matter as we were going to have a cocktail anyway. They have some big names at this location also and the prices were very good. Wish we could get that price for entertainment here in Vegas. Tip for restaurant as did not see it on trip advisor Jing Asian right across from Comedy Works was outstanding food and price.

“Great Night at Comedy Works 8/2/12”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

My husband and I went to see Arj Barker last night with our friend JoAnne who was visiting from Phoenix. All of the comics were awesome and our server, Tonya, was great. The seating is a little close but it didn't detract from the evening. We really enjoyed ourselves. Parking was only $4 at Writer's Square with a validation ticket from the box office. My husband won the gift pack for The Campaign movie.

“seating is not very comfortable, but acts are funny and service is fast”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

My husband and I visited the downtown location of Comedy Works to see the Slark Brothers.

We purchased tickets online and picked them up at the box office.

Parking is $4 after 5pm in the Writer's Square (Lawrence and 15th) underground lot (validation ticket is at box office).

We waited in line to be seated, but it went quickly. Drinks are available while you wait, though they do not count toward the two purchase minimum during the show.

We are accustomed to table style seating at comedy clubs, but this place is simply chairs in rows with drink holders on the arm of each chair. This makes sense since there is limited space, but it doesn't make for a comfortable experience.

I was 6 months pregnant when we went and the staff was nice enough to accommodate me with an end seat so I could use the restroom as needed without disturbing others.

Servers came around often during the show and brought orders quickly.
