“Best Brunch!”

Lucile's never disappoints. Brunch here is amazing from the food, to drinks to service and atmosphere. The Louisiana Creole themed menu adds a great chunk of Southern Charm to Denver.

“A slice of LA in Denver!”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

This is like a quick trip to the French Quarter! Killer Beignets, strong coffee, righteous Bloody Mary's, and serious Creole cuisine. The fried Oysters were delicious, and perfectly done. The beignets were right out of the fryer, and took me back to N.O.! I had the sausage combo omelet with grits - lots of perfectly done sausage (andouille? but not too spicy) and cheese, just to die for.
Seating is tight - you might be sharing a big table, so this is not the place for intimate conversation, or a first date. It IS a good place for some raucous good times (based on the Bloody Mary's, I'd order any cocktail here). Be prepared to wait, this place is very popular! We waited 45 minutes on a Saturday morning - there is another breakfast place 50 yards away that had no waiting. :^)

“Mimosas!!”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Was about a 20 minute wait, but so worth it!! Had lunch out on this cute porch area facing the street. Started with this doughy kind of snack covered in powdered sugar. Then had a cheese omelet, grits, and a ginormous biscuit. Didn’t expect to drink there, but decided on a mimosa, which seemed to be the popular choice there! The mimosa was so yummy!

Wasn’t cheap but also wasn’t that pricey either. I was also impressed, even with the crowd, service was still very efficient.

The atmosphere and of course the food made this a great time for me. I will definitely go back!!

“Breakfast!”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Awesome shrimp and saffron grits with andouille sausage and roasted red peppers! (My wife had the Ponchatrain Trout dish --- totally awesome!!!) Great ambience outside on the porch. Awesome coffee and FRESH French beignets. Oh yeah, Homemade butter-milk buscuit with Home-made BLUEBERRY jam was terriffic!!! Very friendly and helpful wait-staff! Tipped off to this fine establishment by my son and daughter-in-law who used to haunt this place for breakfast in Fort Collins! Glad we didn't miss it! We'd be "regulars" if we lived there!!

“Great grits!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This is another great breakfast place in Denver. The biscuits are just amazing. Just like the ones my grandmother used to make in Oklahoma, and nobody knows biscuits better than southern women. Those come with the meal. But what I go for are the shrimp and grits. Just like I had in New Orleans.
Other favorites include the holy moly good bloody marys, the chicory coffee, the eggs Jennifer, and the beignets. Those, especially, are must haves.

All of the food is made on site--even the ketchup. The portions are huge and will put a little meat on your bones because you'll want to eat everything. There can be quite a wait, but all the better to whet your appetite!
