The Carr Manor is without question the best of the best when it comes to B&B's. In past years we had visited the Manor to attend Victorian events that are held in their Ball Room. But this year (Winter 2013) we stayed for the first time. Three days and two nights of shear bliss! We have never felt more welcome, had a better breakfast, or shown more hospitality, than at Carr Manor. I sleped better than at home! With it barely 3 hours from our CO house, we've already made reservations for another stay in May. It's the Room at the Top for us!

The Carr Manor is a unique bed and breakfast that should not be overlooked while in Cripple Creek. The history and elegance that is within it's walls is amazing. We stayed 2 nights over New Years and it was wonderful. DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST, it is absolutely fabulous, and served with style. While there roam the halls (unoccupied rooms are open for touring) and take in the history of each room and common area.

Last Friday we stayed overnight at the Carr Manor. It is undoubtedly the finest B&B in which we have ever stayed. The old Cripple Creek high school is redone in imaginative and luxurious style. The furnishings and artwork are accompanied by historic documents and photographs from the time when Cripple Creek was the world’s greatest gold camp. Gary and Winnie are welcoming and delightful hosts to chat with and they make your stay memorable. The gourmet breakfast only adds to the experience. As an added benefit, the Midland restaurant, under the same ownership, but located a block away in the old Imperial Hotel, offers an exquisite Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. All in all this is the must place to stay when visiting Cripple Creek.

You won't want to leave once you've stepped into Carr Manor in Cripple Creek, CO. This beautiful brick building which was once a High School has been totally renovated into a luxurious and warm bed and breakfast. The amount of local history that has been captured is incredible. You will enjoy looking at beautiful paintings and photo albums and perhaps a guided tour. My wife and I stayed in the exquisite Roy Rogers room. It could not have been more perfect. You will find yourself investigating beautiful pieces of furniture as you walk from one area of the building to another.

Breakfast was an absolute delight. The coffee alone was superb. We had fresh cut fruit, pastry, a quiche that was simply wonderful. The Carr Manor feels so "Homey" and yet it is so luxurious. You will have to visit to see what I mean. There is no better place to stay in Colorado. Thank you everyone at Carr Manor for an unforgettable experience.

Room Tip: Roy Rogers room was great!

We just returned from a two-night stay at Carr Manor. With 14 rooms, the hotel is actually more like a large, homey bed and breakfast. The entire facility is a beautifully renovated and updated school house in the middle of town. As nice as the accommodates are, the service and hospitality are even better. Innkeepers Rod and Carol are amazing. Rod was our gracious host, and Carol made the best breakfasts ever. Unforgettable! By the time we left, it was like we were best friends.

We did a driving tour of the fascinating area, taking in the history and the huge, current mining operation.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Roy Rogers room. It was perfect, but I think all the rooms are.

A few weeks before my husband's and my stay at this historic bed and breakfast, four friends and I were in Cripple Creek for a ladies-only weekend. When driving around the town, we saw a "Tour" sign at the Carr Manor; stopped to ask what the tour price was -- "free" -- Seeing the Manor did it; I definitely wanted to come back to Cripple Creek and stay with my spouse to celebrate our fifieth wedding anniversary. The Principal's Office was just perfect with a comfy bed and a little sitting room; love that the TV is stowed away in an armoire so as not to detract from the lovely decor. We didn't realize Carol and Rod were the temporary innkeepers until later on in our stay. They treat the Manor and its guests with such care one would think they were the owners. This is a definite "be back" bed and breakfast for us.

Carr Manor was a fabulous place for us to celebrate our 10th Anniversary! Rod and Carol, the interim innkeepers, were so welcoming we felt right at home the moment we arrived. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and Carol made delicious breakfasts, with the assistance of Rod. We have recommended Carr Manor to friends who will be staying in Cripple Creek in the next few months. Thanks again to Rod and Carol for such a memorable stay.
