“Wowow!!!!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Loved The Carr Manor in Cripple Creek, Co. This was a Bed and Breakfast that you should stay at if you are ever this way in Colorado. The interim innkeepers were Rod and Carol Faino. They did a wonderful job and Carol was an excellent cook. The bed was extremely comfortable. I believe the owners have spent a lot in making this place into a beautiful home; I would suggest that they spend a little bit more and get a little higher count thread sheet on the beds. or at least on the bed we slept on.
The Carr Manor was a great bed and breakfast. Everyone was friendly including the housekeeper. Rod has an uncanny ability to remember everyone's name; I don't know how he does it!!!! Thank you!

We had 3 rooms. All of us loved our rooms. Breakfast was served at a relaxing pace and the food was delicious. We felt spoiled. At night, there were sweets to enjoy. We would highly recommend this B&B. The hosts and staff were so friendly. Great experience. It's a "repeat".

My daughter and I just stayed at Carr Manor and it was a wonderful experience. We've been coming to Cripple Creek for many years and always stayed at the Imperial. Since these two hotels are now under the same ownership I can recommend both, but the Carr is hands down the most luxurious. So many amenities and the innkeepers were very helpful and welcoming. This was our first stay but we will be back again and again.

Room Tip: There is not a "bad" room in the house, but there are several really over-the-top ones wit...

We were so happy to have found this Bed and Breakfast while traveling in the Cripple Creek area! The Carr Manor is exquisite! The owners have taken so much pride in making this Bed & Breakfast a truly beautiful place to stay! The furnishings and decor are wonderful. We stayed in the Roy Rogers room, but we also viewed some of the other rooms and all were very nice. The owners themselves are such gracious hosts! And our breakfast was fantastic! We would definitely recommend the Carr Manor to anyone traveling near Cripple Creek. We found many things to do in this area... including the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine, the Royal Gorge Rail Road and the Royal Gorge Bridge Park. We also took a drive off the beaten path on the Phantom Canyon Road ( awesome! ) This is a great area to visit and staying at the Carr Manor really put the icing on the cake for us!

Room Tip: All the rooms were beautifully appointed and decorated. There is something for everyone:ranging from...

This was our second time at Carr Manor and once again we were stunned by the care taken to preserve and maintain this historic building. The original woodwork (staircases), chalk boards and old photos from around the time the building was erected are just breathtaking. We loved our room and of course, the breakfasts were wonderful! Fresh-cut fruit with a chocolate wine sauce?!? Cinnamon rolls and main course fresh from the oven. Always a well-stocked fridge with soda and bottled water, which was very welcomed after enjoying all the Veterans Rally weekend events. The hosts were attentive and offered great tips and suggestions. Perfect weekend!

Room Tip: We've had a chance to see all the rooms (you can tour the building/rooms if doors are open) and...

We loved our stay at Carr Manor! Very friendly staff and a delicious breakfast in the morning. My husband was a little worried when he found out that there wasn't air conditioning, but it gets fairly cool in Cripple Creek in the evenings, so once the sun set he was fine. The old high school has been meticulously renovated into a beautiful bed and breakfast! We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: There is no airconditioning, so the rooms on the first floor are a lot cooler!

Be sure to book a room at Carr Manor. It's an old high school that has been tastefully turned into a great bed and breakfast! Rooms are comfortable, breakfasts are great and hospitality is warm and welcoming. Walk around town to get a feel for the old west and take in a show at the Imperial Hotel.
