Very interesting and the kids loved it. My husband and I were both pleasantly surprised how much we saw and how far we were taken in and around the tunnels. Totally worth it even though there isn't much else in the town other than gambling.

We were hesitant to do this as we have two young kids and did not know how they would react. I am glad that we decided to go for it. This was a fantastic experience! Our tour guide was awesome and I would definitely do this again if we go back to Cripple Creek.

Take the drive to Cripple Creek and take this tour. It was interesting to see the history of mining and how it impacted this area of the country. If at all possible you want Famous Dave to guide your tour. He is knowledgable and friendly. On a side note, when you take the tour only take with you what will fit in your pockets - they are serious about no backpacks.

The Mollie Kathleen is a great way to spend a couple hours if you are in the area. It really gives you an appreciation of just how good we have it these days. If you are claustrophobic, you may have issue with the cramped lift car that takes you 1000 feet down. Supposedly it is a 9-man cage, but guess men were a bit smaller in the mining days.Once down, there is plenty of room. Tour takes an hour or so, depending on questions and such. The guide will demonstrate some of the drilling methods and these are quite loud so be prepared. Also, 50 degrees can get cool so a sleeve is in order. Think twice about the smaller kids, especially if they startle easily.

Simply great tour. Affordable, super interesting, extremely well done and presented. Just can't say enough! You go down 1000 ft and you go down safely and securely - nothing to be afraid of. You can easily breath down there and no one should have any fears of going down. Lady on the tour was claustrophobic and she said she had no issues at all down there or on ride down. We loved it! Loved the little rail tour as well down there - get to see and hear all the equipment and get a wonderful history. Great for all adults of any age. All kids will love this tour. It is worth driving to Cripple Creek for alone. Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
