Midland Depot is the best thing to happen to Cripple Creek. We moved out here about a year ago and as a family who loves to eat out, we were disappointed by the lack of quality restaurants. So when the doors opened at Midland Depot we couldn't wait to try it. Needless to say, it was a welcome addition!

Quality food, great atmosphere and amazing wait staff. What makes it better is that the owners Gary & Wini are always there to greet you and ask how your meal was. They take a lot of pride in their restaurant and it shows.

Not much else to say. This place is great. Our kids (6 & 9) beg us to go there!

I have had dinner at the Imperial several times and the food has always been exellent. The owners and staff are very attentive and have made our friends and family feel welcomed each time we visit.

The Ledfords have done an outstanding job with their new restaurant and I highly
recommend dinning there.

The Midland Depot is the new restaurant in the historic 1890's Imperial Hotel. The historic dining room is located off the main lobby behind beautiful stained glass doors and when you enter the room you are instantly transported back to the Victorian era! Original posters from the melodrama productions held in the quaint Gold Bar Room Theater in the basement are reminiscent of summers past in Cripple Creek. The menu of Italian dishes has lots of variety in selection (from sandwiches to full entrees) and prices (very reasonable). You can be sure to be greeted warmly by the wait staff and if you are lucky, the owners, Gary and Wini Ledford, will be there to chat with you and make sure that you are enjoying yourself. I also love to visit The Red Rooster Room which is a fun little bar off the lobby and near the restaurant. The rooster collection holds special memories of the former hotel owners, the Mackin family, with each one having a story to tell! This place is one of a kind and a treat to return to over and over!

We took friends to dinner at the Midland Depot for New Year's Eve. Dinner was, as it always is, delicious. We have eaten at this restaurant several times since it opened last summer and every time it has been nothing but great food and service. The baked lasagna is home made and wonderful. Prices are reasonable and the portions are more than adequate.
We would recommend, and have done so, this restaurant to friends and will return many more times in the future.

I've eaten here on more than one occasion and I can tell you first hand the Midland Depot restaurant is one of, if not the best place to eat in Cripple Creek, CO. Observant to the diners needs, friendly, comfortable and the food is AWESOME. I've ate in other places in Cripple Creek (pending on what I'm in the mood for) And I'm telling anyone who asks me "Where's a good place to eat", you can bet your bottom dollar I'll send them to the Imperial

Looking around the restaurant you can just feel the history where you sitting. All the Melodrama show posters that made the theater famous, the historic cash cage from the 1800's, the Victorian furnishings in the lobby............. You just cant say enough.

I've had the privilege of meeting the owners (Gary and Wini), and you couldn't ask for friendlier people to meet.

Not every time, but the Chef has came out to ask if there was anything she could do to make our dining experience there any better. Well, they only way it could be better is if every meal was free, but there's a reason it's a business, lol

The prices are very reasonable, infact they could prob charge more and I'd be happy to pay it. You get more than what you'd think you where getting for those prices.

They also have a "Meat" selection on the weekends.........BONE IN RIB EYE IS THE BOMB.

In short, you can't (in anyway shape or form) go wrong by visiting the Midland Depot at the Imperial.
